  • Publication number: 20240402073
Abstract: A flow cell working electrode is provided. The electrode may include a substrate. The electrode may include a conductive electrode layer contacting the substrate. The electrode may include an electrically resistive layer contacting the conductive electrode layer such that the conductive electrode layer is positioned between the substrate and the electrically resistive layer, the electrically resistive layer having an electrically resistive thickness tailored to reduce electrical conductivity across the electrically resistive layer but to allow an electric field associated with a voltage applied to the conductive electrode layer to be felt across the electrically resistive layer. The electrode may include a macroscopically non-conductive plasmonic metal layer contacting the electrically resistive layer such that the electrically resistive layer is positioned between the conductive electrode layer and the macroscopically non-conductive plasmonic metal layer.

  • Patent number: 9052239
Abstract: A multidimensional spectrometer encodes frequency information into laser pulses so that a frequency insensitive detector may be used to collect data for a multi-dimensional spectrograph only from intensity information and knowledge of a modulation providing the encoding. In one embodiment the frequency encoding may be done by a conventional interferometer greatly simplifying construction of the spectrometer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 14, 2011
Date of Patent: June 9, 2015
    Assignee: Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation
Inventors: Martin T. Zanni, Peter Hamm, Jan Helbing

  • Patent number: 7771938
Abstract: This invention provides methods and devices for identifying and/or characterizing interactions involving molecules, including, but not limited to, identifying and/or characterizing interactions involving target molecules and candidate molecules. The present invention provides methods using multidimensional infrared spectrographic techniques, such as four wave mixing and pump-probe techniques, for identifying interactions involving biomolecules and therapeutic candidate molecules, and for characterizing such interactions in terms of their binding coefficients and/or equilibrium constants.
