Abstract: A flexible shaft drive transmission for a power driven tool. The transmission features a first end connectable to a drive motor and a second end connectable to the power driven tool. The transmission includes a flexible drive shaft assembly comprising a flexible elongated drive transmitting member, a first end of the drive transmitting member including a first coupling operatively coupled to the drive motor and a second end of the drive transmitting member including a second coupling operatively coupled to the power driven tool. The transmission further includes a tubular casing surrounding and coaxial with said drive shaft assembly and supporting said drive shaft assembly for rotation generally about a longitudinal axis of said drive shaft assembly relative to said casing. The casing includes a core comprising a spiral wound strip of material having interlocking opposing edges, a braided wire layer surrounding the core, and a polymer layer surrounding the braided wire layer.

Abstract: A container closer particularly for use on screw top containers such as carbonated beverage containers, the container closure having a generally cylindrical continuous tamper evident band joined by a plurality of frangible bridges to the free edge of a skirt of the closure. The band has a segmented internal rib which engages an external retaining flange of the container when the closure is applied to the container so that on removal of the closure the tamper evident band remains on the container or is visually clearly damaged by removal of the closure from the container. The band is provided with longitudinal reinforcement by projections or other areas of thickening to provide the band with longitudinal stiffness while still permitting it to expand over the retaining flange on the container.

Abstract: A closure for a container having a two portion sealing rib projecting downwardly form the underside of the top. The first portion of the rib being contiguous with the top and the second portion being frusto-conical and contiguous with the end of the first portion and extending radially inwardly to terminate in a circular free edge. The upper surface of the second portion has an engagement means comprising a continuous annular ridge which engages with the underside of the top of the closure which in turn has a continuous annular ridge positioned inwardly and adjacent the first portion of the sealing rib. A closure for a carbonated liquid container having a sealing means which has attached thereto an abutment which will firmly engage with the thread on a neck of container if the closure is over-torqued thereby preventing missiling of the closure off the container.
