  • Patent number: 9638634
Abstract: A multidimensional spectrometer provides broadband white light pump and probe pulses to allow acquisition of multidimensional spectral information over a wide range commensurate with solar-related chemical processes.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 21, 2015
Date of Patent: May 2, 2017
    Assignee: Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation
    Inventor: Martin Thomas Zanni
  • Patent number: 9568366
Abstract: A multidimensional spectrometer encodes frequency information into laser pulses so that a frequency insensitive detector may be used to collect data for a multi-dimensional spectrograph only from intensity information and knowledge of a modulation providing the encoding. In one embodiment the frequency encoding may be done by a conventional interferometer greatly simplifying construction of the spectrometer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 15, 2015
Date of Patent: February 14, 2017
Assignees: Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, University of Zurich
Inventors: Martin Thomas Zanni, Peter Hamm, Jan Helbing

  • Patent number: 7760342
Abstract: A multidimensional spectrometer for the infrared, visible, and ultraviolet regions of the electromagnetic spectrum, and a method for making multidimensional spectroscopic measurements in the infrared, visible, and ultraviolet regions of the electromagnetic spectrum. The multidimensional spectrometer facilitates measurements of inter- and intra-molecular interactions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 21, 2007
Date of Patent: July 20, 2010
Assignees: Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, The Regents of the University of Colorado
Inventors: Martin Thomas Zanni, Niels H. Damrauer
