  • Patent number: 7144346
Abstract: A motor vehicle steering mechanism is provided and includes a steering wheel fixedly connected to a steering column, a steering pinion meshing with a rack, a planetary gear system connected to the steering column and the steering pinion, wherein during a normal trouble-free driving operation the housing of the gear system is freely rotatable; an angle sensor detects the position of the steering column and/or steering wheel and generates a signal representative thereof, wherein a first drive applies torque directly to the steering column, and a second drive acts on the steering pinion or rack. The signal from the angle sensor is an input signal for an electronic control system that controls the second drive. A torque adjuster controls the first drive such that a hand torque corresponding to a driving situation is Produced for achieving a defined driving sensation for the driver on the steering wheel.

  • Patent number: 6730001
Abstract: A procedure for the control and regulation of a clutch of an automatic stepless transmission for a motor vehicle in which an electronic control device, via a first or second regulation circuit, determines the behavior of the clutch during three driving conditions and wherein a stepless gear ratio change is carried out from a first into a second gear ratio. In accord with the invention, for the control and the regulation of the clutch during the first driving condition, the first regulation circuit is employed, the size of the regulation thereof being equivalent to the actual value of the motor speed of rotation (n_MOT_IST). During the second driving condition, a second regulating circuit is employed, the size of the regulation thereof being equivalent to the actual value of a difference in speeds of rotation (dnK_IST) of the clutch and during the third driving condition, the clutch is subjected to a controlled pressure value dependent upon various value influences.

  • Patent number: 6708097
Abstract: A process for controlling and regulating a clutch in a stepped load switchable automatic transmission for a motor vehicle where an electronic control device determines the behavior of the clutch during three operating conditions by way of a first or a second control circuit, and that a shift from a first into a second gear ratio stage takes place. In accordance with the invention, the first control circuit is used for controlling and regulating the clutch during the first operating condition, whose controlled variable is equivalent to the actual value of the engine speed (n_MOT_IST). During the second driving condition, a second control circuit is used, whose controlled variable is equivalent to the actual value of a differential rotational speed (dnK_IST) of the clutch, and during the third operating condition, the clutch is impinged with a controlled pressure value dependent upon various influence magnitudes.

  • Patent number: 6625536
Abstract: A procedure for the control and regulation of a clutch in an automated stepped transmission for a motor vehicle, in which an electronic control device by means of a first or second regulation circuit determines the behavior of the clutch during three driving conditions and that a traction interrupted shifting from a first into a second gear ratio is carried out. In accord with the invention, for the control and the regulation of the clutch during the first driving condition the first regulation circuit is employed, the size of the regulation thereof being equivalent to the actual value of the motor speed of rotation (n_MOT_IST).

  • Patent number: 6484084
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for a coupling (2) in a motor vehicle transmission, the coupling being controlled and regulated during two operational states by way of a first regulating circuit (3). The regulated quantity corresponds to the actual value of a differential engine speed of the coupling (2). The first state corresponds to a starting action and the second state to operation with a variable transmission ratio.

  • Patent number: 6454067
Abstract: A method and device for a coupling (2) in a motor vehicle, transmission (1) are proposed in which the coupling is controlled and regulated during three operational states via a first regulating circuit (3). The regulated quantity corresponds to the actual value of a differential rotational speed of the coupling (2). The first state corresponds to a starting operation, the second state to the operation with constant ratio and the third state exists when a gear shift under load or a change of ratio from a first to a second ratio step of an automatic transmission (1) is initiated.

  • Patent number: 6366843
Abstract: A method for controlling an automatic transmission driven by an internal combustion engine is proposed in which a shift from a first to a second transmission ratio occurs as a pull upshift by a first clutch opening and a second clutch closing and electronic transmission control unit controls via electromagnetic valves the pressure curve of the first and of the second clutch during the shifting operation. The shifting operation is divided into different shifting phases, an engine intervention taking place within the gradient-adjustment (GE), the sliding (GL), the gradient-reduction (GA) and the closing (S) phases, an engine torque being reduced by an engine intervention factor (mdzegs) being transferred from the transmission control device to an engine control device of the internal combustion engine.
