  • Patent number: 11827176
Abstract: An electronic door locking system of a motor vehicle is disclosed, comprising at least one receiver for the transmission signals of an electronic key, at least one control device for mechanically locking and unlocking at least one motor vehicle door, at least one contact element, accessible from outside the motor vehicle, for connecting an external voltage source, wherein the at least one control device for mechanically locking and unlocking at least one motor vehicle door and/or at least one additional control device has an emergency power supply algorithm, wherein the electronic door locking system is designed to detect an emergency power supply mode and to activate the emergency power supply algorithm, wherein the emergency power supply algorithm is designed to deactivate at least one function of a normal mode and/or, in the case of a function, to access previously defined data of deactivated components or to ignore said data.

  • Patent number: 6513749
Abstract: A yarn winding machine for winding at least one yarn and a method of controlling such a winding machine. In the winding machine, a plurality of rotatably driven components are used, whose drives are controlled via a controller. A data module is associated to at least one of the components, with the data module being writable and/or readable by the controller.

  • Patent number: 6438432
Abstract: A method is provided for protecting stored-program control systems, in particular in motor vehicles, which offers a software protection system for programming. A programming routine for programming by an external device is subdivided into segments in such a way that queries for programming authorization can be accomplished between the individual segments.

  • Patent number: 5970251
Abstract: A process for optimizing data and/or program parts for programmed controllers that can be used, e.g., in motor vehicle controllers. In this process, the controller is connected to an external application device via an interface. Changes in the data and/or program parts to be optimized are entered with the help of the application device. This process is characterized in that, at the beginning of the optimizing process, the data and/or program parts are loaded into the data and/or program read-write memory (e.g., RAM) of the controller. In addition, the process is characterized in that specific changes are made in the control program and/or in the memory and/or register locations of the controller to cause the microprocessor of the controller to access the corresponding data and/or program parts in the data and/or program read-write memory (e.g., RAM) instead of accessing the data and/or program parts in the data and/or program read-only memory (e.g., flash EPROM).

  • Patent number: 5646938
Abstract: In a device for the serial exchange of data between two stations, each station has a serial interface which is connected to a common data transmission line. A first specific station has means which, during the reception of data, identify the two possible bit states on the basis of different voltage levels on the data transmission line. In contrast, the second specific station has means which, during the reception of data, identify the two possible bit states on the basis of the presence or absence of a specific current flow via the data transmission line. Furthermore, in another device for the serial exchange of data between two stations, suitable selection of resistors ensures that four different voltage levels are produced on the data transmission line when each station transmits a "1" bit state or a "0" bit state. The voltage levels are evaluated differently by the stations, with the result that simultaneous data transmission in both directions is also possible.
