    Abstract: Method and apparatus for the computer-implemented processing of payment entries which are intended to move money in an account, wherein a payment entry is automatically checked for errors as it is received and if at least one error occurs an error sequence is decided upon from a list of error routines by means of an error routine, all the errors occurring in a given payment entry being supplied collectively to the error routine, and within the scope of the error routine the errors which have occurred are weighted and appropriate error follow-up measures are initiated depending on the results of the error weighting.
