Abstract: A method of transmitting information over a wireless network and representing the information by using a mobile transceiver station as well as a data carrier are described, wherein information is offered and transmitted in a scalable form for the requirements of a mobile transceiver station. A scaling of the information is selected, depending on the arrangement for representation of information of the mobile transceiver station, inputs by the user being taken into account. WAP is used for transmission of the information data. A mobile transceiver station signals which scalings are to be transmitted. Advertising in various scalings is used for billing for services used.

Abstract: The navigation device is provided with a device for display of advertisements in a scene of a particular region or area. The navigation device has a processor (1,12), a memory (2,13), a positioning device (3,14), an optical display (5,16), an acoustic display (8,19), a receiver (6,17) and an input device (9,20). The scenes displayed by the navigation device are either actual scenes for an area or region in which the navigation is located or simulated scenes. The data for the display of the scene are either loaded from a data or information-bearing medium, such as a CD-ROM, or received by means of the receiver. Particular objects in the displayed scene may be connected with additional information which can be requested by the user by the input device. The number of objects, which particularly have advertisements, are established according to the speed of the vehicle containing the navigation device and the position of the navigation device.

Abstract: A navigation device for a land-based vehicle is used to support the driver in navigating. The navigation device includes a processor (1), a signal processing means (2), an acoustical and optical display (3), an input device (4), a memory (5), a transceiver (6), an antenna (7), an image processing means (8), a camera (9), a sensor system (10), and a locating device (11). The navigation device according to the invention allows a switchover between a two-dimensional and a perspective display, and it allows a free choice of the point of view for the perspective display.
