Publication number: 20240386161Abstract: A filter design method isolates parasitic zeros in a modelled response by comparison with a representation of a target response, and computes an adjusted representation of the target response corresponding to an implementation of the adjusted target polynomial representation according to a desired filter type and incorporating the parasitic zeros thus isolated. The Parasitic zeros are then removed from this adjusted target polynomial representation, and also from the polynomial representation of the modelled response, and the two resulting representations used as the basis of an error function. This error function may then drive an iterative convergence minimising the error function, for example based on a stepwise convergence of parameters such as dimension values in a three dimensional model implementing each representation.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 17, 2024Publication date: November 21, 2024Applicant: DASSAULT SYSTEMESInventor: Martin WILD

Patent number: 9671378Abstract: A sensing device for determining the presence of hydrogen peroxide is disclosed. The sensing device comprises a light guide having a distal portion terminating at a light guide tip and a proximal portion, wherein the light guide tip is proximal to a layer of Prussian blue (PB), which is pure (or essentially free of contaminants). The sensing device produces a fast linear response and is durable, due to the robustness and purity of the PB. The PB is chemically deposited proximal to, or on, the light guide tip using a single-source precursor technique. Methods of making and using the device also are disclosed herein.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 2014Date of Patent: June 6, 2017Assignee: UVic Industry Partnerships Inc.Inventors: Hamed Akbari Khorami, Peter Martin Wild, Nedjib Djilali

Patent number: 7865338Abstract: Disclosed are a method and a device for suppressing vibrations (18) in an installation comprising an actuator (14) for actuating a flap (12) or a valve (70) used for metering a gas or liquid volume flow (16), especially in the area of HVAC, fire protection, or smoke protection. Vibrations (18) of the flap (12) or valve (70) caused by an unfavorable or wrong adjustment or configuration of the controller and/or by disruptive influences are detected and dampened or suppressed by means of an algorithm (1) that is stored in a microprocessor (49). Said algorithm is preferably based on the components recognition of vibrations (46), adaptive filtering (48), and recognition of sudden load variations (50).Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 2006Date of Patent: January 4, 2011Assignee: Belimo Holding AGInventors: Silvano Balemi, Martin Wild, Marc Thuillard
