  • Patent number: 9485679
Abstract: A method for analyzing a mobile radio network including the steps of collecting traffic data from call monitoring equipment connected to the mobile radio network, collecting signaling data from network monitoring equipment connected to the mobile radio network, correlating the traffic data and the signaling data related to a cell of the mobile radio network. and creating a graphical display of the correlated traffic data and the signaling data.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 19, 2013
Date of Patent: November 1, 2016
    Assignee: NSRS COMMS IRELAND LIMITED
Inventors: Ralf Kreher, Martin Polak, Martin Winau, Robert William Froehlich
  • Publication number: 20150163624
Abstract: A method for determining mobile device location in a wireless communication network having plural base stations and at least one repeater for communicating with a mobile device is performed by a geolocation detection program for locating a mobile device. The geolocation detection program determines whether a signal received from the mobile device has passed through the at least one repeater.

  • Publication number: 20150072714
Abstract: A method for providing accurate geolocation information is described in which geolocation information is received from a plurality of position information sources. A confidence indicator value is associated with each of the plurality of position information sources. Geolocation information received from two or more of the plurality of position information sources is combined based on the confidence value associated with each of the plurality of position information sources. A geolocation accuracy indicator (e.g., a graphical indicator) is provided to a user.

  • Patent number: 8811289
Abstract: Systems and methods for Long Term Evolution (LTE) interface correlation are described. In some embodiments, a method may include receiving a first message, the first message having been intercepted over an air (Uu) interface of an LTE network (e.g., probed via a Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI) between an Evolved-Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (UTRAN) Node B (eNB)'s remote radio head and baseband processing unit), the first message having a first identifier. The method may also include receiving a second message, the second message having been intercepted over the S1 interface between the eNB and a Mobility Management Entity (MME) within an Evolved Packet Core (EPC) portion of the LTE network within a given time window from the first message, the second message having a second identifier. The method may further include correlating the first and second messages in response to a match between the first and second identifiers.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 28, 2012
Date of Patent: August 19, 2014
    Assignee: Tektronix, Inc.
