  • Publication number: 20220290829
Abstract: A method is provided for joining a pin member of a first component to a second component with a cavity, using an adhesive, to fasten the pin in a target position extending at least partially into the cavity. A distance (D) is provided between the bottom surface of the cavity and the facing end of the pin. A flexible spacer is positioned on the bottom surface of the cavity. The thickness of the spacer equals or exceeds the distance (D) between the bottom surface of the cavity and the facing end of the pin in the target position. The adhesive is filled into the cavity onto the flexible spacer, and the pin is positioned in the target position. The adhesive is cured to obtain a joint between the pin and the second component.

  • Publication number: 20120092884
Abstract: A projection headlight for motor vehicles has a reflector device, a plurality of light sources, at least one of said light sources assigned to the reflector device. A lens device is arranged in front of the reflector device in the main radiation direction. A cover device in the area of a focal point of the lens device has a cover shaft rotatable across the main radiation direction of the rotating axis main source. The cover shaft is provided with a number of glare edges and/or glare surfaces to adjust light distributors having a number of various cut-off lines. The light sources are arranged on a common light source carrier, the carrier extending substantially perpendicular to the main radiation direction and the carrier being configured to fasten onto a flat side of a heat sink.

  • Patent number: 7679100
Abstract: A housing for an electromagnetic radiation emitting optoelectronic component is specified. The housing comprises a housing base body provided with a recess in which at least one chip mounting surface is disposed. At least one outer surface of the housing base body, disposed on an emission side of the housing and adjoining the recess, is provided with a baffle layer suitable for screening an electromagnetic radiation. An electromagnetic radiation emitting component provided with such a housing and a method of making a corresponding housing or component are also specified.

  • Publication number: 20090159912
Abstract: What is specified is a housing for a luminescence diode component comprising a housing cavity within which is arranged at least one chip mounting region for a luminescence diode chip and which has an output opening. In accordance with one embodiment, the housing has, at least at a vertical distance from the chip mounting region, inner walls which laterally bound the housing cavity and are at a maximum lateral distance of less than or equal to 500 ?m from the chip mounting region. What is additionally specified is a housing in which the housing cavity has at least one partial region which is laterally covered by a housing material that laterally delimits the housing cavity. Moreover, a description is given of a luminescence diode component, in particular for a motor vehicle headlight.

  • Publication number: 20080239746
Abstract: The present invention relates to a headlamp for vehicles with a plurality of LED light sources combined into a single light-emitting surface, where an optical unit is allocated to at least one LED light source to generate some of a specified light distribution, where one or several LED light sources can be turned on or off such that the light distribution can be modified, where a first optical unit with first projection characteristics is placed before a first group of LED light sources and a second optical unit with second projection characteristics is placed before a second group of LED light sources such that a number of differently sized light spots can be generated in the traffic space by optionally turning on or off or dimming the LED light sources of the first group of LED light sources or the second group of LED light sources.

  • Publication number: 20060193145
Abstract: A headlamp for vehicle has at least one planar luminous panel of luminous-element chips, and an optical element arranged in the beam path of the light beam emitted by the luminous panel. The luminous-element chips (4) of the luminous panel (3, 21, 31) are arranged in a common recess (5). The recess (5) is on the side facing the direction of the light emission. The headlamp has an edge in spatial arrangement to the luminous-element chips such (4) that a predetermined luminance gradient (G, G?, G?) in a light distribution (L) of the headlamp is formed in the region of the edges (9, 25, 32).
