  • Patent number: 10898055
Abstract: A water-conducting domestic appliance includes a detection unit configured to detect a type of item to be washed as the item is loaded into the water-conducting domestic appliance, and an output unit configured to output a signal carrying information for a user as a function of the detected type of item.

  • Publication number: 20110000100
Abstract: A laundry treatment appliance having a drum; a motor to drive the drum; a control device, in which an acoustic reference signal is stored; an acoustic sensor to measure an acoustic signal; and a comparator to compare the acoustic signal recorded by the acoustic sensor with the acoustic reference signal stored in the control device; wherein each of the acoustic signal and the acoustic reference signal is a sonogram.

  • Patent number: 7446500
Abstract: In an anti-crease operation incorporated after the program sections wash and spin to loosen laundry in the drum, the user should be offered the possibility of being able to actively influence this operation. For selecting the adjustable parameters for the duration and sequence of the anti-crease program the user is supported by a display and can depart upward or downward from predetermined values dependent on type or textile and loading after checking for compatibility. The detachment of the laundry ring at the inner wall of the drum can be monitored by measuring valid variables of state as a criterion for loosened and disentangled laundry at the beginning of the anti-crease operation in the reversing phases and comparing these with desired data which were determined in a short analysis section installed before the beginning of the actual wash program. As a result, errors in identifying a laundry ring can be largely avoided.

  • Publication number: 20070272602
Abstract: The sensor system of a water-bearing domestic appliance, in particular a washing machine comprising program control, supplies measured data, which can be evaluated for controlling the programs. Sensors are thus used to monitor the function of the mechanical drive of the domestic appliance. If a malfunction occurs in the drive system, e.g. if the V-belt for the washing drum splits, an alerting signal is triggered. According to the invention, the measured values of the sensor system taken when the drive unit is idle and in motion are evaluated in relation to one another and are optionally compared with a stored set value.

  • Patent number: 7246396
Abstract: A sensor system for a water-bearing domestic appliance for monitoring the treatment fluid in the appliance. The sensor system measures the treatment fluid parameters in a program sequence that includes alternating idle and in motion operations of the appliance. The measured treatment fluid parameters can be compared to known proper operational treatment fluid parameters.

  • Patent number: 6629439
Abstract: A laundry treatment machine, in particular, a washing machine and/or drier, includes an electronic controller, an information output device, and an input device. The electronic controller automatically implements laundry programs and has a decision-maker identifying each laundry item placed therein. The decision-maker makes decisions to create an optimized treatment program for treating the combination of identified laundry items placed into the machine. An information output device presents to a user the optimized program as a proposal. An input device is connected to the electronic controller and is to be actuated by a user for confirming the laundry treatment program determined by the decision-maker.
