  • Patent number: 5939285
Abstract: A recombinant vector useful for regulating the expression of a gene contred by a baculovirus polyhedrin promoter or P10 promoter, via a sequence forming an RAR-type hormone receptor binding site.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 18, 1997
Date of Patent: August 17, 1999
Assignees: Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique Agronomique (INRA), Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS)
Inventors: Gerard Devauchelle, Marie-Helene Ogliastro, Martine Cerutti
  • Patent number: 5597689
Abstract: The subject of the invention is the use of a DNA fragment comprising a sequence from the 3' end of the AcNPV baculovirus IE1 gene, optionally combined with a DNA fragment comprising a sequence situated upstream of the promoter of the IE1 gene, for producing vectors permitting the replication and maintenance of genetic information in animal cells. The invention also encompasses the episomal vectors obtained, as well as the transformed cells comprising the vectors.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 26, 1994
Date of Patent: January 28, 1997
Assignees: Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (I.N.R.A.), Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (C.N.R.S.)
Inventors: G erard Devauchelle, Martine Cerutti, C ecile Persillon
  • Patent number: 5583023
Abstract: The present invention describes modified baculoviruses possessing unique restriction endonuclease cleavage sites downstream of the promoter of the baculovirus viral inclusion, polyhedron and/or protein P10 genes and a method for obtaining such modified baculoviruses. Such modified baculoviruses are useful for the direct cloning of heterologous DNA into the unique endonuclease restriction sites and the consequent expression of the heterologous DNA inserted therein.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 14, 1994
Date of Patent: December 10, 1996
Assignee: Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique
Inventors: Martine Cerutti, Guy Croizier, Liliane Croizier, Gerard Devauchelle
  • Patent number: 5571709
Abstract: The invention relates to a modified baculovirus wherein one of the two strong late promoters of the wild baculovirus is inactive, as well as to a method for obtaining such a modified baculovirus and to its application for obtaining vectors for the expression of exogenous genes. Said modified baculovirus is particularly deprived of the polyhedrin gene promoter and contains the protein P10 gene promoter.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 1, 1993
Date of Patent: November 5, 1996
Assignee: Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique
Inventors: G erard Devauchelle, Martine Cerutti, Claire Cahoreau
  • Patent number: 5565333
Abstract: A DNA sequence derived by the mutation from a ColE1-type replication origin is provided, wherein the sequence is characterized in that it includes at least one of the following mutations, which are defined in relation to the wild ColE1 origin: a Guanine to Adenine transversion in position 2976; and a Guanine deletion in position 3057. This sequence increases the number of copies of the plasmids which include it. Plasmids containing the replication origin, and their uses in the amplification of DNA sequences and the production of polypeptides by genetic engineering, are also disclosed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 16, 1994
Date of Patent: October 15, 1996
Assignees: Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA), Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS)
Inventors: Gerard Devauchelle, Laurence Garnier, Martine Cerutti, Viviane Valverde, Jean-Michel Masson
