  • Patent number: 11188059
Abstract: The present disclosure comprises a method for managing a plant of the automation technology, including a step of acquiring and storing all data transmitted via a communication network, consisting of process values, control variables and status data, and operating telegrams by a field detection unit, and providing the data and the operating telegrams with time stamps. The method also includes steps of temporally assigning the operating telegrams to the data, and analyzing the assignment and creating an intervention system. The intervention system contains plant states and interventions, wherein a plant state is created on the basis of transmitted data from a sensor unit and from an actuator unit, and wherein an intervention consists of at least one operating telegram following the transmitted data from the sensor unit and from the actuator unit.

  • Patent number: 9398097
Abstract: A method for servicing a field device of process automation technology. The data exchanged between the field device and a servicing program is by means of at least one protocol, which has basic commands, via which basic functions of the field device can be invoked. Each field device which is compatible with the protocol has these basic functions available to it, and wherein only basic commands of the protocol are used to transfer data between the servicing program and the field device.

  • Publication number: 20150113180
Abstract: A method for servicing a field device having a first wireless transmission module, preferably a transponder. An adapter is provided, which has a corresponding second wireless transmission module, preferably a reading device, for querying the transponder. The field device has, furthermore, a first communication interface for communication via a fieldbus, preferably a wired fieldbus, wherein the adapter has a second communication interface likewise for communication via the fieldbus, preferably a wired fieldbus. Data stored in a memory unit of the field device are wirelessly retrieved and transmitted to the adapter by means of the first transmission module and by means of the second transmission module, wherein the adapter is connected with a service device, and wherein by means of the retrieved data a connection is established between the field device and the service device via the field bus.

  • Patent number: 8279038
Abstract: A method for operating a field device of automation technology capable of special-functionalities, an enabling code set having a plurality of enabling code is managed in a superordinated, key-management unit. With the assistance of the enabling codes, special-functionalities can be enabled in field devices. Associated with individual enabling codes of the enabling code set is, in each case, an attribute, “free” or “blocked”. If a special-functionality is needed, then an enabling code is transmitted to the field device, in case an enabling code with attribute “free” is present. Following transmission, the attribute of the transmitted enabling code is changed from free to blocked. The method permits enabling code to be used very flexably.
