  • Patent number: 6711175
Abstract: Procedure for scanning a module line or time slot in a V5 access node connected to a local exchange via a V5 interface and with a number of subscribers connected to it via a concentrating link, in which procedure a time slot in the V5 interface is scanned by transmitting by means of the part of the BCC protocol associated with the local exchange a scanning message to the part of the BCC protocol associated with the V5 access node, which latter protocol part acknowledges receipt of the scanning message. According the the present invention, before receipt of the scanning message is acknowledged, the concentrating subscriber interface is scanned to find in it a free module line or time slot for the call and the free module line or time slot is specified.

  • Publication number: 20030002469
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and system for the allocation of resources in a telephone exchange system, comprising a telephone exchange (LE), an access node (AN) and a concentrating interface (V5) by means of which the access node (AN) has been connected to the local exchange (LE). In the method, one or more separate subscriber groups are created in the local exchange (LE), and a predetermined share of time slots of the concentrating interface (V5) is allocated to the subscriber group.

  • Patent number: 6466665
Abstract: Method for concentrating subscribers in a local exchange (LE), which comprises an exchange terminal (1), a V5 interface (V5) connected to the exchange terminal, a group switch (3) and an interconnecting line (4) between the exchange terminal and the group switch for connecting subscribers connected to the exchange terminal to the group switch. According to the invention, a number of V5 interfaces (V5) are connected to the exchange terminal (1) and the exchange terminal is connected to the group switch (3) via the interconnecting line (4), thus forming between the exchange terminal and the group switch an internal interface within the local exchange for concentrating V5 subscribers.

  • Patent number: 6424708
Abstract: A procedure for concentrating subscribers in a telephone network comprising a local exchange (LE) provided with a first exchange terminal (1), a remote subscriber stage (RSS) provided with a second exchange terminal (2), a V5 interface (V5) connected to the second exchange terminal, and an interconnecting feeder (3) between the first and second exchange terminals through which subscribers connected via the V5 interface to the second exchange terminal are connected to the local exchange. According to the invention, a number of V5 interfaces (V5) are connected to the second exchange terminals (2) and the second exchange terminal is connected via the interconnecting feeder (3) to the first exchange terminal (1), thus forming a concentrating interface between the first and second exchange terminals.

  • Patent number: 6370232
Abstract: The present invention relates to data communication networks. In particular, the present invention relates to a procedure and a system for ensuring emergency communication in a data communication network in which the terminal devices (4a, 4a, 4c) are connected to a telephone exchange (1) via an access node (3) consistent with the V5 standard. In the procedure of the invention, emergency communication by a subscriber in the event of a failure of the V5 interface used by the subscriber is ensured by using an emergency V5 interface (6) created in the access node and a reange of addresses created for this purpose in the telephone exchange.

  • Patent number: 6069948
Abstract: The present invention relates to data communication networks. In particular, the present invention relates to a procedure and a system for ensuring successful emergency communication in a data communication network in which the terminal devices (4a, 4c) are connected to the local exchange via an access node (3) consistent with the V5 standard. In the procedure of the invention, in the event of a failure of the V5 interface used by a subscriber, the subscriber's emergency traffic is directed to emergency lines created locally in the access node. The emergency line is optionally connected to a specified location, such as the teleoperator's customer service.
