    Abstract: Disclosed are a modular audio/video assembly and method of assembly. The modular audio/video assembly can include a housing and a main board disposed within the housing. A plurality of interfaces can be associated with the main board and each interface can be coupleable to a module that provides audio/video functionality for the assembly. The main board and the respective modules are cooperative to provide a set of selected audio/video functions. The assembly can operate on all digitized signals for optimum fidelity. A host within the assembly has an interface to a remote control to transmit to said remote control information for the modules in the assembly.
