  • Patent number: 6828473
Abstract: The invention provides genetically-modified non-human mammals and genetically-modified animal cells containing a functionally disrupted PDE11A gene. Also provided by the invention are methods of screening for agents that modulate PDE11A to modulate spermatogenesis, methods of treating mammals to modulate spermatogenesis, and methods of modulating cAMP and cGMP signal transduction in cells that express PDE11A.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 1, 2001
Date of Patent: December 7, 2004
    Assignee: Pfizer Inc.
Inventors: Martyn Frank Burslem, Ian Dennis Harrow, Jeremy Lanfear, Stephen Charles Phillips
  • Publication number: 20040038292
Abstract: This invention provides biomarkers such as genes and the corresponding mRNA transcripts or protein products that are identified as being involved in wound healing processes. Also provided are methods for identification of compounds useful for the treatment of wounds, wound healing disorders or inflammation and compounds identified by such methods. Methods are provided for monitoring the progress of wound healing and for identification of individuals with wound healing disorders.
    Type: Application

    Publication date: February 26, 2004
Inventors: Martyn Frank Burslem, Claire Michelle Johnson, Lisa Cooper, Paul Martin
  • Publication number: 20030229002
Abstract: The present invention relates to the effect of PDE11A modulation on male pro-fertility, male contraception, and female sexual dysfunction (FSD), specifically female sexual arousal disorder (FSAD), female orgasmic disorder (FOD), hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) or sexual pain disorders.

  • Publication number: 20030024000
Abstract: The invention features transgenic non-human mammals and transgenic cells expressing a radical fringe transgene comprising a radical fringe coding sequence, wherein expression of said coding sequence in said mammal is driven by an operably linked regulatory sequence that directs inducible and keratinocyte-specific expression, and wherein said mammal exhibits accelerated wound healing and/or increased keratinocyte proliferation following the induction of transgene expression. The invention also features polynucleotide and amino acid sequences for human radical fringe, methods of treating psoriasis and promoting wound healing by administering a modulator of radical fringe polypeptide activity, and methods of identifying modulators of radical fringe activity.
