  • Publication number: 20240060755
Abstract: An elongate projectile includes fletchings or vanes for stabilizing flight of the projectile, with the fletchings configured to conform around the shaft of the projectile in a biased state for loading into a bore of an air gun, and configured to snap back into a resting or un-biased state upon exiting the bore. The fin portion of the fletchings can be disposed tangential to the outer diameter of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 11781830
Abstract: There is provided a protective glove to cover at least a portion of a hand of an archer during the shooting of arrows from a bow, which glove is designed to resist a broken arrow from puncturing through the glove and entering the flesh of the user. In particular, there may be a palm section, made of a first arrow puncturable material that covers the palm of the users hand. There may also be a protective section, located on the glove covering the back of the hand of the user, made of a second material that has a high weight-to-strength value, coupled to the palm section and positioned so that a broken arrow being shot from a bow will have a higher likely hood of hitting the protective section than hitting areas not having the protective section.

  • Publication number: 20230175807
Abstract: A safety archery glove is disclosed having a first flexible material disposed about a portion of the palm and a portion of the back of the glove, wherein the first flexible material has first coefficient of friction. A second semi-rigid material is disposed about a back side of the glove over the metacarpal region covering at least the first and second metacarpal area of the glove, wherein the second semi-rigid material has a second coefficient of friction. A third flexible material is disposed about the palm and underside of finger sections of the glove, said third flexible material having a third coefficient of friction, wherein the third coefficient of friction is less than the coefficient of friction of the first and second materials. The second semi-rigid material forms a back having at least four lateral sides disposed about a back side of the glove and is coupled to the first flexible material about three sides of the back cover.

  • Publication number: 20080152920
Abstract: A composite article includes a plurality of plies of composite material arranged atop one another to form a stack that is bonded together with a resin material. An image layer is integrally formed with the stack and visible on at least one outer surface of the stack. The image layer bears an image applied to the image layer by a conventional printing process prior to curing of the resin material in the stack of layers. The image layer includes a saturating cellulose material that is saturable with the resin material prior to curing of the composite article to incorporate the image layer into the stack of plies by surrounding and infiltrating the saturating cellulose material of the image layer with the resin material.
