  • Publication number: 20060164916
Abstract: A method for simultaneously operating multiple seismic vibrators using continuous sweeps (little or no “listening” time between sweeps) for each vibrator, and recovering the separated seismic responses for each vibrator with the earth signature removed. Each vibrator is given a unique, continuous pilot signal. The earth response to the motion of each vibrator is measured or estimated. The vibrator motion records for each vibrator and the combined seismic data record for all the vibrators are parsed into separate shorter records. The shorter records are then used to form a system of simultaneous linear equations in the Fourier transform domain, following the HFVS method of Sallas and Allen. The equations are then solved for the separated earth responses.

  • Publication number: 20050107649
Abstract: In some embodiments, methods of producing monoolefins include contacting an olefin stream with a polar solvent to extract a highly unsaturated hydrocarbon from the olefin stream, followed by contacting the polar solvent with a hydrogenation catalyst in the presence of hydrogen at conditions effective to hydrogenate the highly unsaturated hydrocarbon to a monoolefin. The monoolefin then desorbs from the polar solvent and enters the purified olefin stream, allowing the polar solvent to be recycled. In other embodiments, monoolefin production systems include an extraction-hydrogenation zone for performing the extraction and hydrogenating steps in situ. In alternative embodiments, the hydrogenation zone is disposed downstream from the extraction zone.

  • Patent number: 6857221
Abstract: This invention relates to an elongated float or bobber placed on a fishing line to indicate when a fish has struck the bait. The novelty resides in features that eliminate the float's resistance normally felt by the fish on the hook. The bobber has a weight of a given size on one end and a tab with a novel slot-hole arrangement on the other end. The line which has a stop thereon is permitted to freely slide along the slot until it reaches the hole, whereupon the stop will be pulled freely through the hole by a fish without exerting any pull on the bobber per se.

  • Publication number: 20040079023
Abstract: My device will work on all types of freshwater and saltwater fishing. It will inhance and improve the sport of fishing hooking more fish and at the same time featuring a novelty tip-up action. When it's windy, you will be able to cast further because of the ⅜ oz egg sinker opposite slotted tab. Upon landing in the water it remains vertical until the sinker pulls it down and stops at fixed depth because of bobber stop. It will always work this way. You know it's set when in horizontal position when BB on bobber stop slides towards hole then it releases line to fish freely giving them time with no inhibitors or tug from flotation of bobber to take bait more readily. By always having an open bail or release mechanism on reel after casting out in water fish can take bait naturally no drag of a bobber and run with the bait hook and most of the time.
