  • Patent number: 5135440
Abstract: A child's water toy comprises a pool which has inflatable (with either air or water) sides with a floor extending between them. One or a number of applique accessories may be heat sealed to the bottom or the sides of the pool. Exemplary of these applique accessories are slides, floating animal figurines, and the like. Bobbing accessories are counter balanced accessories which may either float upright to be a playmate for the child or bob over to become a float on which the child may ride. The bobbing toy may have articulated joints which make it appear to change its shape depending upon whether it is standing upright or lying down. Still other accessories are scenery in the nature of trees, islands, vines, or the like, which may shower or drip water. These accessories may be assembled in different ways to provide play groupings.

  • Patent number: 5127868
Abstract: A device for holding or controlling a bandalore or yo-yo type toy is provided having a resilient, rubberized or plastic o-ring and a string. The string is permanently connected to the o-ring and when passed through the o-ring, a loop is created for the user's finger thereby allowing the user to hold and control the toy. Additionally, the user may pass a finger directly through the o-ring to hold and control the bandalore or yo-yo type toy.

  • Patent number: 5101752
Abstract: A body board for a water slide having an ergonometric design that conforms to the contours of a user's body having a generally frustoconical perimeter that circumscribes at least two chambers that are connected for pivoting movement with respect to one another.

  • Patent number: 5097611
Abstract: An advertising and information display includes a mounting bracket for attaching the display to a conventional retail shelving unit or other structural support, a fixed carrier for holding a relatively small, continuously displayed information medium, and a flexible, user-operable, automatically-retracting carrier for holding a substantially larger, intermittently displayed information medium. The fixed carrier holds a removable user-enticing placard that does not interfere visually or physically with nearby exhibits or products located on that or adjacent shelves. The flexible carrier is preferably a plastic, cloth, or paper sheet which is mounted behind the fixed carrier on a spring-loaded roller or other automatically retracting storage device. A brake preferably controls retraction speed.

  • Patent number: 4997187
Abstract: A track section for a slot track racing game has a double walled box channels formed by alignment projections and receptacles therefore on each of the opposite sides of a track. A pair of hooks prevent accidental disconnection of the track sections responsive to random movements. The hooks have dependent fins which concentrate bending forces to the root ends thereof to preclude random bending under stress conditions. A lap counter gives a signal after a slot track vehicle has made a predetermined number of laps.

  • Patent number: 4463515
Abstract: A toy motorcycle is mounted on and supported by a front wheel and a driven rear wheel which is heavy enough to act as a flywheel. A pull string mechanism includes a spring biased spring spool having a gear, with a step-up gear train imposed between the spool gear and the rear driven wheel. A centrifugally operated pawl mechanism is driven by the gear train to couple with ratchet teeth formed on the rear wheel in order to drive the rear wheel in one direction and to decouple from the ratchet teeth when the gear train is driven in the opposite direction during string recoil. The rear wheel has a greater moment of inertia than the other components of the pull string drive mechanism to enable the rear wheel to function as a flywheel and thereby store energy to drive the motorcycle. A reed is positioned to be plucked by a rotating cam to produce sound.

  • Patent number: 4411098
Abstract: A toy wheeled vehicle has a chassis which can be adapted to receive almost any style of vehicle body. The vehicle contains an elongated coiled spring enclosed within a tube having a substantially rectangular cross section. The vehicle has a keyhole aligned with the tube in the trunk area. The key hole and the tube have a guideway slot formed therein. This slot, together with the rectangular cross section, insures a properly aligned key, at the time of key insertion. The key includes a pair of leaf spring-like, spaced parallel plate members joined on each end and held in a separated position by a spacer post or pin positioned near the operational or handle end of the key. When the key is inserted into the tube, the coiled spring is compressed. A latch on the key fits and locks into a keeper in the tube to hold the spring in the compressed condition.
