  • Patent number: 4128958
Abstract: A decoy which can be made to resemble the external apparatus of a duck or a goose. The decoy is provided with a body capable of floating on the water surface. A pair of movable wings is hingedly mounted on the sides of the body, and control means in the form of flexible strings or lines is coupled with each wing at two locations thereon to cause movement of the wings from retracted positions extending along the body to operative positions extending laterally of the body and, when the wings are in operative positions, to cause the wings to move up and down in a flapping motion to simulate the wing action of a live bird floating on the water. Improved hinge means permits the wings to pivot relative to the body between the retracted and operative positions and to move up and down relative to the body when the wings are in the operative positions.
