  • Patent number: 10734727
Abstract: A radio frequency identification (RFID) tag includes a power harvesting circuit, an RF front-end, and a processing module. The power harvesting circuit generates power for the RFID tag from a continuous wave of an inbound radio frequency (RF) signal. The RF front-end receives the inbound RF signal and transmits an outbound RF signal. The RF front-end includes a tuning circuit that is tuned based on a capacitance setting. The tuning of the tuning circuit effects a characteristic of the RF front-end. • Patent number: 10638870
Abstract: A system that generates brewed beverages may receive requests to produce specified brewed beverages. The system may include a scheduler that initiates and controls the performance of one or more chemical or mechanical processes to produce the beverages. While one chemical or mechanical process for producing a beverage is being performed, other processes may be performed for production of the beverage or another beverage. The scheduler may determine the time at which to perform each process, the time at which a beverage should be presented, the resources to be used to perform the processes, or the time at which to perform a cleaning process, dependent on an actual or expected demand for beverages, or dependent on a target time for beverage retrieval. Shared resources may be applied to the production of beverages for high priority orders, while partially completed beverages for lower priority orders are staged for subsequent advancement.

  • Patent number: 10243255
Abstract: A method begins by a first radio frequency identification (RFID) sensor, that is associated with a first object element, receiving a first data request signal from an RFID reader and sending a first radio frequency (RF) signal that includes first data to the RFID reader in response to the first data request signal. The method continues with a second RFID sensor receiving a second data request signal from, and sending second data to, the RFID reader. The method continues with the RFID reader sending a representation of the first and second data to a data processing unit, which processes the representation of the first and second data to determine a first and second data point regarding first and second object elements. The method continues by the data processing unit processing the first and second data points to determine an environmental relationship between the first and second object elements.

  • Patent number: 10069205
Abstract: A wireless sensor includes environment sensing structure, a radio frequency (RF) front-end, and a processing module. When the wireless sensor is positioned proximal to an object, a portion of the environment sensing structure senses an environmental condition in a remote area of the object that effects a characteristic of the RF front-end. The processing module generates a reference value representative of a known environmental condition in the remote area based on the effect on the characteristic of the RF front-end. The processing module generates a sensed value representative of an unknown environmental condition in the remote area based on the effect on the characteristic of the RF front-end when the environment sensing structure is sensing the unknown environmental condition. The processing module transmits, via the RF front-end, at least one of the reference value, the sensed value, or a difference between the reference value and the sensed value.
