  • Patent number: 11244746
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating electronic reports for medical images. One system includes an electronic processor configured to access a plurality of prior reports associated with a user and automatically generate a mapping using machine learning based on the plurality of prior reports. The mapping associates language included in the plurality of prior reports with at least one section of a report. The system stores the mapping to a memory, receives input from the user for an electronic report associated with a medical image, accesses the mapping from the memory, automatically determines a section in the electronic report associated with the input based on the mapping, and automatically inserts text into the section in the electronic report based on the input.

    Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATION
Inventors: Murray A. Reicher, Marwan M. Sati, Mark D. Bronkalla, Michael Trambert
  • Publication number: 20190189264
Abstract: Methods and systems for automatically triaging an image study of a patient generated as part of a medical imaging procedure. One system includes a computing device including an electronic processor. The electronic processor is configured to submit at least a portion of the image study to a cognitive system, the cognitive system configured to analyze the image study using a model developed using machine learning, receive, from the cognitive system, a BI-RADS classification assigned to the image study using the model, and automatically triage the image study based on the classification assigned to the image study by the cognitive system.

  • Publication number: 20190043441
Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically adjusting a display property of data to reduce visual fatigue and impaired visual perception. One system includes an electronic processor configured to determine a display property of primary displayed data within a graphical user interface, determine a display property of secondary displayed data within the graphical user interface, and automatically adjust at least one display property of the secondary displayed data based on a comparison of the display property of the primary displayed data and the display property of the secondary displayed data.
