Abstract: The following invention discloses a solar collector for the collection and distribution of incident electromagnetic radiation. It is a collector which utilizes optic fibers as the direct means for solar energy concentration and collection. The collector is of a hemispherical design, or a variation thereof, allowing for the even collection of sunlight regardless of the sun's position relative to the horizon. Furthermore, the collector is of lightweight design and contains few internal parts. These features provide for a device that requires little maintenance and allows for high functionality.
