The ink can be formulated such that upon printing on a print medium, the printed ink or inks can maintain a neutral black, defined by a chroma value of less than 7. This neutral black can be maintained such that the printed ink or image has a chroma value of less than 7 for substantially all L* values ranging from about 7 to about 12.

In this embodiment, at least two of the organic solvent systems are different. The first organic solvent system can include a first organic solvent and a second organic solvent. The fourth organic solvent system can include the second organic solvent and a fourth organic solvent. These solvent systems, and others, can also be used to prepare various dye sets that are dye specific.
