Patent number: 11983320Abstract: An example wearable device that includes a conductive deformable fabric is described herein. The conductive deformable fabric has a conductive trace that has a non-extendable fixed length along a first axis, and the conductive trace is sewn into a fabric structure to produce a conductive deformable material. The fabric structure includes a stitch pattern that facilitates the conductive trace to unfold and fold in an oscillating fashion to allow the conductive trace to expand and contract, respectively, along the first axis without exceeding the fixed length of the conductive trace. The conductive deformable material is positioned within the wearable device such that when the wearable device is worn, the stitch pattern is over a joint of the user to allow the stitch pattern to expand or contract along with the movement of the joint.Type: GrantFiled: February 24, 2023Date of Patent: May 14, 2024Assignee: META PLATFORMS TECHNOLOGIES, LLCInventors: Simge Uzun, Mary Ellen Margaret Berglund, Stuart Wayne Dealey, Simon John Baines, Amy Lynne Stoltzfus, Russell Liam Warila, Phelan Miller, Christopher Bradford Doughty, Leah Resneck, Katherine Cagen, Cameron Elliot Glasscock, Dylan Downey, Anjali Khemani

Publication number: 20230375735Abstract: A computer-implemented method for detecting geological elements or fluid in a subsurface from seismic images is disclosed. Seismic data may be analyzed to identify one or both of fluid or geologic elements in the subsurface. As one example, the analysis may include unsupervised learning, such as variational machine learning, in order to learn relationships between different sets of seismic data. For example, variational machine learning may be used to learn relationships among partially-stack images or among pre-stack images in order to detect hydrocarbon presence. In this way, an unsupervised learning framework may be used for learning a Direct Hydrocarbon Indicator (DHI) from seismic images by learning relationships among partially-stack or pre-stack images.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 13, 2021Publication date: November 23, 2023Applicant: ExxonMobil Engineering and Technology CompanyInventors: Kuang-Hung Liu, Huseyin Denli, Mary Johns, Jacquelyn Daves

Publication number: 20040086494Abstract: Methods for sustained delivery of biologically active proteins or peptides to mammals are disclosed. Specific types of immune-privileged allogeneic or xenogenic donor cells that are naturally immune privileged are genetically modified in vitro to express or secrete the proteins or peptides. The genetically modified donor cells are subsequently implanted into host mammals and utilized for sustained delivery of biologically active proteins or peptides in vivo. The donor cells so utilized are those that inherently possess immune privilege due at least partly to the expression of Fas ligand. Methods for cell isolation, purification, tissue culture expansion, cryopreservation, gene transfer, transgene and Fas ligand expression, cell implantation, and measurement of immune responses of host animals are described.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 28, 2001Publication date: May 6, 2004Inventor: Constance Mary John
