  • Patent number: 9882848
Abstract: A method includes associating an e-mail address with a media device at a server of a television network. The media device is associated with the television network and the e-mail address is associated with a network device outside of the television network. The method includes receiving, at the server, an e-mail message directed to the e-mail address. The method also includes sending an e-mail notification from the server to the media device responsive to receipt of the e-mail message. The e-mail notification indicates whether the e-mail message includes an attachment. The e-mail notification permits the media device to provide notification of the e-mail message and an indication of whether the e-mail message includes an attachment to an output device coupled to the media device.

  • Patent number: 9838648
Abstract: A mobile device includes a processor and a memory coupled to the processor. The memory includes instructions that are executable by the processor to perform operations including receiving, via a first network associated with a wireless service, an offer for a content item that is deliverable via a multimedia service. The operations also include sending information indicating acceptance of the offer via the wireless service to a server associated with the multimedia service. Based on the information indicating acceptance of the offer, the server sends the content item to a device associated with the multimedia service account.

  • Publication number: 20170241804
Abstract: Various examples are directed to configuring a configurable hardware module to perform a measurement of a physical quantity. A configuration manager may receive an indication of the physical quantity and performance factor data describing the measurement of the physical quantity. The configuration manager may generate a hardware configuration of the hardware based at least in part on the indication of the physical quantity and the performance factor data. The hardware configuration may comprise instruction data to configure the hardware module to execute a dynamic measurement of the physical quantity. The configuration manager may also generate configuration data describing the hardware configuration, wherein the configuration data comprises simulation data comprising input parameters for a simulation of the hardware configuration and hardware configuration data for configuring a hardware module to implement at least a portion of the hardware configuration.

  • Publication number: 20170238057
Abstract: A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, an Internet Protocol Television system having a controller to create a template defining a format of presentation of an webpage or HTML page using an iTV or IPTV application system, receive a request for the page from a subscriber of the iTV or IPTV system. The system can access application system subscriber data for the subscriber and a presentation of the page is dynamically adapted according to the application system subscriber data. In one alternative at, the page can be dynamically adapted by changing in content or by changing a look and feel of an HTML page or webpage. In another alternative, the webpage or HTML page can be dynamically adapted by modifying graphic user interface elements based on the application system subscriber data. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20170195740
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to distribute media content are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a client interface to receive a request from a wireless communication device for authorization to present media, the media received at the wireless communication device in an encrypted format. A database is to store an association of the wireless communication device and a wired network termination unit. A record interface is to, in response to the request for authorization, query the database based on an identifier of the wireless network communication device to determine whether the wired network termination unit is authorized to receive the media via a wired communication path, and in response to determining that the wired network termination unit is authorized to receive the media via the wired communication path authorize the wireless communication device to decrypt and present the transmitted media.
