  • Publication number: 20210256832
Abstract: An implicit bias monitoring system is provided. The system receives sensor data including video and audio that are captured during an interaction between a first individual and a second individual. The system determines a set of attributes associated with the interaction based on the received sensor data, the set of attributes comprising at least one of race and gender of the second individual. The system detects an implicit bias based on a combination of the determined set of attributes and a bias profile. The system generates an alert based on the detected implicit bias.

  • Patent number: 10885080
Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for implementing a conversation monitoring system. The conversation monitoring system monitors a conversation between at least two participants and extracting, by the conversation monitoring system, key terms present in communications between the at least two participants. The conversation monitoring system generates a provenance graph data structure based on the extraction of the key terms where the provenance graph data structure has speaker nodes representing the at least two participants, term nodes representing the key terms present in the communications, and edges connecting nodes in the provenance graph. • Patent number: 10713303
Abstract: A system, computer program product, and method is described to provide a visualization tool which portrays the certain equivalent for one or more hypothetical (i.e. synthetic) or real probability distributions p(m), and optionally allows the user to manipulate that representation, resulting in associated changes to the underlying utility function u(m). In a first example, the risk preference visualization tool allows one to explore how the certain equivalent depends upon the probability distribution p(m), for a fixed utility function u(m). In a second example, the risk preference visualization tool allows one to explore how the certain equivalent depends upon the utility function u(m), assuming one or more fixed probability distributions p1(m), p2 (m), etc. In a third example, the decision maker can provide feedback through the visualization tool that would cause their utility function to be modified.

  • Patent number: 10620912
Abstract: A system, computer program product, and method are provided for use with an intelligent computer platform to convert speech intents to one or more physical actions. The aspect of converting speech intent includes receiving audio, converting the audio to text, parsing the text into segments, identifying a physical action and associated application that are proximal in time to the received audio. A corpus is searched for evidence of a pattern associated with the received audio and corresponding physical action(s) and associated application. An outcome is generated from the evidence. The outcome includes identification of an application and production of an affirmative instruction. The instruction is converted to a user interface trace that is executed within the identified application.

  • Patent number: 10580435
Abstract: Monitoring and analysis of a user's speech to detect symptoms of a mental health disorder by continuously monitoring a user's speech in real-time to generate audio data based, transcribing the audio data to text and analyzing the text of the audio data to determine a sentiment of the audio data is disclosed. A trained machine learning model may be applied to correlate the text and the determined sentiment to clinical information associated with symptoms of a mental health disorder to determine whether the symptoms are a symptom event. The initial determination may be transmitted to a second device to determine (and/or verify) whether or not the symptom event was falsely recognized. The trained machine learning model may be updated based on a response from the second device.
