  • Patent number: 6795016
Abstract: A jig for heat treatment of a workpiece capable of use over a long period of time by minimizing or eliminating deformation thereof caused by thermal distortion and which is capable of performing heat treatment of the workpiece by reducing the amount of heat energy absorbed by the jig in a heat-treatment furnace. The jig includes an outer peripheral frame formed by a plurality of members and a mounting portion arranged inside the outer peripheral frame and also formed by a plurality of members. The workpiece rests on the mounting portion during use. The members of the outer peripheral frame and mounting portion are movably connected to each other with an expansion space being provided between each adjacent member capable of absorbing thermal expansion of the member during thermal treatment.

  • Patent number: 6412830
Abstract: A small-diameter resin tube connecting structure used as a small-diameter tube connector is provided. The connector comprises: a main body including therein a small-diameter chamber continuous with a communication hole defined by the connecting cylindrical wall at the top end of the main body and a large-diameter chamber formed behind the small-diameter chamber; and a socket having repulsive walls each in the form of a pawl wall and formed integral with, or separately from, the outer periphery of the connector main body whereby the repulsive walls of the socket are brought into engagement with an annular bulged wall of the target resin tube. Further, a thin-wall metallic tube having an annular bulged wall is inserted into at least the connecting end of the resin tube with the metallic tube serving as a reinforcing member for the resin tube. The resin tube may have the annular bulged wall together with the metallic tube by press-working the inserted metallic tube in the axial direction.

  • Patent number: 6357801
Abstract: A flared connection structure of a pipe end portion is provided. The structure includes a bridge flare with a spool portion with a U-shape or V-shape section that bulges outwardly to define front and rear inclined faces. A ring member with a U-shape cross-section has a rear portion disposed in the pocket between the front and rear inclined faces of the spool portion. The ring member also has a front face disposed between the front inclined face of the spool portion and the pressure receiving seat face of a counterpart joint. A pattern of concentric circles formed by recesses and projections is provided on at least one of the faces of the front portion of the ring member or the pressure receiving seat face of the counterpart joint.

  • Patent number: 6109660
Abstract: A connecting structure of an externally resin-coated small-diameter metallic pipe having an excellent corrosion-resistant property with respect to a mating member is provided. According to the present invention, a resin-uncovered portion of the metallic pipe provided for applying an end processing thereon is completely covered with a protective pipe made of a resin material so that the processed pipe can be connected with the mating member without spoiling its anti-chipping property and an anti-splashing property of the metallic pipe over the entire length thereof. With the exception of the end of the metallic pipe corresponding to the margin at least required for applying an end processing on the pipe, the pipe is covered with an extrusion-moldable thick film-like resin and is connected with a mating member by means of a clamp nut assembled to the pipe end so as to be screw-fitted with the mating member.

  • Patent number: 6041827
Abstract: A multi-layered metallic pipe having resistances to the chipping of pebbles and splashing of muddy water while driving a vehicle and excellent corrosion resistances. The multi-layered metallic pipe is piped without scraping and does not need an insulator. The multi-layered metallic pipe includes a metallic pipe having a relatively small plated diameter with a film made of zinc, aluminum or a zinc/aluminum based alloy on the outer circumference of the metallic pipe. A first layer of a polyamide resin, a polyviny fluoride, or a polyvinylidene fluoride having a film thickness of 20 to 50 microns is applied to the plated film. A second layer made of an extrudible resin having a film thickness of 100 microns to 1.0 millimeter and a chipping resistance is coated over the first layer along an entire length of the first layer. The second layer is formed to have stepped portions of different thickness.

  • Patent number: 4740285
Abstract: A plating hooking apparatus incorporated into an automatic conveyer permits plate-objects to rotate in and above a plating tank. This apparatus has a current conduction bar extending over the plating tank, hung-down rods suspended from the current conduction bar, hooking jigs rotatably secured to the lower ends of the hung-down rods, a driven rod engaging with a driving unit to move laterally and drive transmission means for rotating the hooking jigs by propagating the lateral movement of the driven rod to the hooking jigs. The drive transmission means includes a rack, a pinion, first means for converting a rotation of the pinion into a rectilinear motion, second means for converting the rectilinear motion into a rotary motion and means for propagating the rotary motion to the hooking jigs. With this arrangement, the hooking jigs are capable of rotating in and above the plating tank.
