  • Patent number: 7231697
Abstract: A synthetic-resin-made linear slide fastener has a top end stop and a bottom end stop. A coil-like or zigzag-like linear fastener element row (3) of synthetic resin is mounted on a side edge of a fastener tape (4), and then a rod-like body (6) is inserted into a coupling space portion (13) in a rear side of coupling heads (10) of plural fastener elements at a terminal end of the fastener element row (3) and attached thereto. Alternatively, a curved sheet-like body (7) is attached such that the sheet-like body surrounds and covers surfaces of the coupling heads (10), leg portions (11) and connecting portions (12) and thereafter, the rod-like body or the sheet-like body is fused with fastener elements (3) by ultrasonic welding so as to form an end stop (14) as the top end stop (15) or the bottom stop end (16).

  • Patent number: 6540497
Abstract: A secondary molding apparatus includes a transfer path for a primary molded product, and an internal heating unit disposed vertically at a predetermined interval across the transfer path, the internal heating unit disposed to come into contact with a rear surface of a flat base material and to melt top portions of protrusions located on a front surface of the flat base material. The secondary molding apparatus also includes a pressing member disposed vertically at a predetermined interval across the transfer path, the pressing member configured to press and deform the top portions of the protrusion to a desired shape, the pressing member being a non-heating member.

  • Patent number: 6430786
Abstract: A synthetic resin opening and closing press fastener comprises a front side flat plate portion and a rear side flat plate portion which are attached to the end edges of a flat plate shaped attached body. One end of these portions are connected by means of a connecting portion that is a positioning portion of the end edge of the attached body, and has a number of male engaging elements of a surface fastener on the rear face of the rear side flat plate portion. In order to attach this opening and closing press fastener to the attached body, the fastener attaching end edge of the attached body is inserted from an open end of the front and rear side flat plate portions of the press fastener. When the above end edge abuts against the connecting portion, both of the flat plate portions are connected to each other via the attached body by means of synthetic resin pin members having at least engaging heads at one end.

  • Patent number: 5305965
Abstract: An apparatus for winding and storing a tape-like article in core-less form in a container is disclosed. The tape-like article is fed along a movable guide member, being inserted into a center of the container through an opening on a side wall of the container, and being caught by a grip of a spindle inserted via a through hole on a side of the container. When the tape-like article is wound around the spindle to a preset length, the tape-like article is cut, and the spindle is released from the container.

  • Patent number: 4606100
Abstract: An apparatus automatically manufactures a succession of slide fasteners with flies from a continuous slide fastener chain having a pair of intermeshed rows of coupling elements with element-free spaces therein and stringer tapes supporting the rows of coupling elements, respectively, with the flies sewn to one of the tapes. The apparatus includes a feed path along which the chain can be fed, a feed roller assembly for feeding the chain along the feed path in selective engagement with the intermeshed rows of coupling elements, and an element guide operatively coupled with the feed roller assembly for guiding the rows of coupling elements along the feed path across the feed roller assembly. The feed roller assembly comprises a driven roller and an idling roller movable toward and away from the driven roller for feeding the chain along the feed path. The element guide has guide legs disposed upstream and downstream of the feed roller assembly and having guide grooves, respectively, aligned with the feed path.
