  • Patent number: 4912290
Abstract: A contact structure of a locking cylinder comprising a pair of contact pieces each extending laterally and pivoted at its one end about a pivot axis parallel to the axial line of the locking cylinder, a pair of springs, each urging the corresponding contact piece inwardly toward the center of the locking cylinder, a pair of stoppers which limit the inward motion of the contact pieces to the positions where they protrude slightly into a bore defined at the entrance to the key hole of the locking cylinder. The radially inner surfaces of the contact pieces of the locking cylinder define contact surface which electrically contact the corresponding contact pieces provided in the side edges of the base end of the shank of the key. This contact structure provides uninterrupted electric conductance between the key and the locking cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4901053
Abstract: A signal is received from a key having predetermined information. A discriminator determines whether the received signal from the receiver represents the predetermined information. An actuator performs a predetermined anti-theft operation in response to output signals from first and second detectors indicating that at least one predetermined one of the covering members is closed and locked. The operation of the actuator is disabled in response to an output signal from the discriminator indicating that the received signal represents the predetermined information. The key includes a magnetic element forming first predetermined information, and light emitting elements for emitting infrared ray carrying second predetermined information. The actuator performs the predetermined anti-theft operation in response to an output signal from a third detector indicating that the key has been removed from a predetermined key hole, in addition to the output signals from the first and second detectors.

  • Patent number: 4849749
Abstract: When a key is inserted into a key hole of a lock, magnetism creating means creates a magnetic flux corresponding to a predetermined magnetic code set in the key. Magnetism detecting means detects the magnetic flux and outputs a signal representing the detected magnetic flux. Decision means compares the signal value with a predetermined value, and outputs an agreement signal when the two values are the same. Driving means enables at least unlocking by key operation in response to the agreement signal. The magnetism detecting means outputs, as the above signal, a voltage corresponding to the magnitude of the detected magnetic flux or pulses having a frequency corresponding to same. At least one of material, dimensions, and thickness of the magnetic element determines the predetermined magnetic code. Further, an unlocking mechanism has a magnetic actuator which unlocks the lock by coupling the lock with unlocking means via a cam in response to the agreement signal.

  • Patent number: 4506216
Abstract: A speed meter system for a vehicle which comprises a first pulse generator for providing pulses in accordance with the speed or engine speed of a vehicle, a first counter which is coupled to the first pulse generator for counting the number of pulses generated by the pulse generator, a second counter and a comparator coupled to the first and second counters for comparing the counts therein, the comparator producing a first judgement signal indicative of whether the count of the first counter is larger than or smaller than the count of the second counter and a second judgement signal indicative of the equality or inequality of the counts in the first and second counts. A gate circuit is coupled to the comparator for receiving the second judgement signal therefrom, the gate being opened when the second judgement signal indicates an inequality and closed when the second judgement signal indicates equality.

  • Patent number: 4430612
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an electric type speed meter which comprises a pulse generating means for generating a pulse signal corresponding to a vehicle speed. A control circuit means counts the number of output pulses of the pulse generating means during predetermined time intervals and discriminates between a positive and negative difference between the number of pulses counted during a predetermined time interval and the number of pulses counted in a preceding time interval. The control circuit means generates a pulse signal corresponding to the difference therebetween. A pulse motor driving circuit applies the output of the control circuit means to a pulse motor for controlling the pulse motor in either a forward or reverse direction. An indicator means is operable in response to the pulse motor for indicating a speed corresponding to the speed thereof.
