  • Patent number: 10909895
Abstract: The present invention provides a correction system (1) in which a control circuit (40) of a display panel (2) generates unevenness correction data to be used for correcting display unevenness. The correction system includes a signal source (11), an imaging device (12), and a control device (13). The signal source outputs a signal for displaying a prescribed reference image on the display panel. The imaging device captures the reference image displayed on the display panel on the basis of the signal from the signal source and generates a captured image. The control device generates unevenness correction data for the display panel on the basis of the captured image. The control device generates unevenness correction data (51, 52) having a plurality of mutually different formats (F1, F2) for the display panel (S15A, S15B), and records the same in a storage unit (21) of the display panel (S16).

  • Patent number: 8488941
Abstract: Necessary coded data only can be read out at random accessing even with recording medium having coded data recorded thereon but whose code quantity is out of proportion to time. Once a recording medium was loaded into a recorder-player connected with a coded-data control device, the device reads control data from the recording medium and stores the data in a coded data control portion. At random accessing, the control data is read-out from the coded-data control portion and entered into a recording medium controller which in turn controls the recording medium to read-out only desired data according to the information inputted from the coded data control portion. In random access playback, fast playback from the midway of a video-sequence can be realized by accessing coded data of a video frame by using control data.

  • Patent number: 6091774
Abstract: The invention is directed to provide a code-amount control device for use in video-coding device, which controls the generated code-amount of each block (block length) after variable-length coding in the video-coding process to surely be less than the designated target code-amount. The code amount control device is provided with a rate control circuit for setting a target code-amount of each of blocks to be encoded, a rounding circuit for converting a sequence of quantized values into a set of the number of continuous zeroes and following thereto non-zero quantized values and a code-length table containing variable code-length values to be allocated to respective sets of the number of continuous zeroes and non-zero values.

  • Patent number: 5420872
Abstract: An apparatus for concealing an error of a moving pictures transform coding includes the first concealment circuit (19) for analyzing data according to a type of the data, the data being error-detected but not corrected by an error correction decoding by the decoder (12), for replacing the data with a specific data according to the analyzed result by using a predetermined method, and for outputting a specific signal therefrom, and the second concealment circuit (22) connected to the first concealment circuit (19) for replacing reproduced pixel values of an error-occurred block with reproduced pixel values of a previous frame according to the signal output from the first concealment circuit (19) in case that the data being error-detected but not corrected is data of a predetermined frequency component or data of an additional information.
