  • Publication number: 20230191898
Abstract: A vehicle drive system includes a motor (drive motor), a generator, a reduction drive that reduces output of the motor, and a housing. At a position above a motor shaft, an oil passage, through which oil is supplied to each of the motor, the reduction drive, and the generator, is integrally formed with the housing. An oil pipe is attached to the housing and supplies the oil from an oil reservoir to the oil passage. At a position between the motor and the generator, the reduction drive is offset from the motor shaft in a second direction that is orthogonal to the first direction. The oil pipe is located between the motor and the generator in the first direction, and at least part of the oil pipe is located on an opposite side of the reduction drive with the motor shaft being interposed therebetween in the second direction.

  • Patent number: 11420507
Abstract: A power train support structure includes a first front side frame disposed on one of left and right sides of a power train; a second front side frame disposed on the other of the left and right sides of the power train, and being greatly away from the power train with respect to the first front side frame; a mounting bracket having one of left and right ends connected to the power train; and a connecting member for connecting the mounting bracket and the second front side frame. The mounting bracket includes a front fixing portion and a rear fixing portion to be fixed to the power train. A strength of the front fixing portion and the rear fixing portion is set to such a strength that the rear fixing portion is broken by a collision load from a front side, and the front fixing portion is not broken.

  • Patent number: 5676107
Abstract: A direct injection diesel engine includes a cylinder head which is formed, for each cylinder, with a plurality of intake ports. At least one of the intake ports has an approximately straight throat extending tangentially to the cylinder and opening into a combustion chamber at upper reaches of swirling. Another of the intake ports has a throat opening into the combustion chamber at lower reaches of swirling. A glow plug extends downward from one side of the cylinder head, at which the intake ports open, toward a location between the other intake port. An exhaust port extends from another side of the cylinder head and opens into the combustion chamber.

  • Patent number: 4624228
Abstract: A diesel engine intake system including a timing valve which is positioned in the intake system in engine starting and warming-up periods under a cold engine condition. The timing valve is opened in the final period of the intake stroke so that a strong suction pressure is produced in the combustion chamber before the timing valve is opened. When the timing valve is opened, the intake air as rushes into the combustion chamber at a high speed, whereby the intake air is compressed under the inertia of the high speed flow to thereby increase the temperature of the intake air. The engine is also provided with a blow-by passage and an exhaust gas recirculation passage, both opening to the intake passage upstream of the timing valve, so that it is possible to prevent the blow-by gas and the recirculated exhaust gas from being drawn under the suction pressure when the timing valve is closed.
