  • Patent number: 4865278
Abstract: A brake and/or propulsion command arrangement for railway vehicles, especially for abnormality detection of a dual brake system having a cam controller for producing ON-OFF control signals. The abnormal detection system employs a comparing circuit for comparing the control signals, an interlocking circuit for producing a verification signal of the position of the cam controlling, and evaluating circuit for producing a trouble detection signal when the control signals are unmatched and during the presence of the verification signal.

  • Patent number: 4812148
Abstract: A system for removing moisture from compressed air in pneumatic brake equipment including an air compressor having an outlet pneumatically connected to an inlet of a cooler. The cooler having an outlet pneumatically connected to a pair of electromagnetic multi-way valves. Each of the valves includes a supply section and an exhaust section. A pair of drying cylinders have inlets selectively pneumatically connectable to the supply and exhaust sections of the respective pair of electromagnetic multi-way valves. An air reservoir has its inlet pneumatically connected to the outlets of the drying cylinders via a respective check valve. A governor is pneumatically connected to the air reservoir for sensing the pressure level in the air reservoir.

  • Patent number: 4795902
Abstract: An optical controller device employing a single rotatable light blocking plate on opposite sides of which are mounted light emitting and light receiving elements. A pattern of openings or transparent areas arcuately arranged on different circumferences of the light blocking plate determine the passage or interruption of light and thus provide output signals according to the position of rotation of an operator's handle connected to the light blocking plate. The light emitting and receiving elements are mounted on support plates configured so that a first group of the light emitting and receiving elements and a second group of the light emitting and receiving elements are symmetrically disposed on opposite sides of a centerline of the light blocking plate.

  • Patent number: 4721515
Abstract: This invention relates to a novel electronic system for controlling a twin-type of air dryer arrangement. Normally, the adsorption elements (DR1) and (DR2) change over their adsorptive and regenerative cycles alternately by an "ON" signal produced by a governor (GO). In addition, in case that the compressor works continuously for a long period of time, the adsorptive and regenerative cycles are changed over whenever a predeterined time elapses. Thus, it is possible to make the entire air dryer more compact, to have less changeover operation and to use the relevant devices for much longer time.

  • Patent number: 4525611
Abstract: A fluid pressure device for detecting two or more fluid pressure levels from a varied range of fluid pressure includes a housing having a cylindrical bore and a pressure inlet in communication therewith. A piston member is reciprocably movable within the cylindrical bore. A piston rod extends from the piston member and projects outward of the housing where a switch-operating arrangement is secured. The switch-operating arrangement includes an interlocking arm and a number of blocking elements corresponding to the number of switch devices to be operated. Guide slots formed in the interlocking arm allow adjustment of the position of the blocking elements, thus affecting a change in the operating points of the switch devices. Surrounding the piston rod within the housing is a multiple-spring arrangement which opposes the movement of the piston and which exhibits a nonlinear spring coefficient.
