  • Patent number: 8209697
Abstract: A resource allocation method, a resource allocation program, and a resource allocation apparatus in which a request reception server subjects an inputted SQL to a syntax analysis. At least one SQL process is extracted from the input SQL, and a resource cost of a database required by a BES (Back End Server) to perform the SQL process for each of one or more process types contained in the SQL process is calculated. Further, an allocation ratio is determined for allocating the resource of a request executing server to a virtualized server in accordance with a resource cost ratio required by each of the BES to execute the SQL process. Additionally, requests are made for execution of the respective BES on the virtualized server to which the resource has been allocated so as to execute the SQL process.

  • Patent number: 8051422
Abstract: In order to improve the unbalance of loads imposed on individual database servers at the time of executing individual SQL processing phases, a management computer partitions an inputted query request into the processing phases which are units executable in parallel, calculates resource costs needed for executing the processing phases, assigns the processing phases to the logical computers on the basis of an access right to databases, calculates resource assignment ratios of the individual logical computers in correspondence with the resource costs for the processing phases assigned to the individual logical computers, and assigns assignable resources of a physical computer to the individual logical computers, the assignable resources being equivalent to resource assignment amounts corresponding to the resource assignment ratios.

  • Patent number: 7526469
Abstract: Database processing including processing for a shared table is efficiently executed. Processing for a database including a shared table which can be referred to by a plurality of database processing devices is managed. Table information indicating database processing devices allocated according to an attribute of a table in a database and a processing type is referred to via a storage. According to whether or not a processing request for the database includes processing for a shared table, a database processing device to execute the processing request is selected. The database processing request is issued to the selected database processing. According to the database processing request, the database processing device accesses the database.

  • Patent number: 7128194
Abstract: A centrifugal clutch for a vehicle for reducing the trouble occuring when the clutch capacity becomes insufficient due a modification to the vehicle, such that of increasing the engine output or the exhaust gas quantity. The clutch weight of the centrifugal clutch is assembled by stacking a set of five sheets of clutch weight component members, three of which have similar structures. Each clutch weight component member is composed of two formed portions, the portions formed by baking two kinds of sintered metallic powders differing in specific gravity. Portions away from a fulcrum of inclination are formed by baking the sintered metallic powder having a larger specific gravity. Portions near the fulcrum of inclination are formed by baking the sintered metallic powder having a smaller specific gravity. As a result, the center of gravity of the clutch weight is positioned near a tip portion of the weight.
