Abstract: According to one embodiment, an opening-closing-type electronic device includes a magnetic recording medium including a drive member with a magnet, and a drive assembly which includes the drive member and is driven by the drive member, a magnetic sensor which detects a magnetic field of the magnetic recording medium and outputs a signal when a magnetic flux density of the magnetic field reaches a threshold, and an opening and closing mechanism which is formed such that it can be opened and closed, and in which a part of the magnetic recording medium and the magnetic sensor are arranged in line facing each other when the mechanism is closed.
