  • Publication number: 20120239831
Abstract: An information processing method includes calculating a reception estimated time when the data are received based on a last reception time of the data and a reception time interval of the data for transfer source devices; calculating a shift completion estimated time based on a shift time period necessary to shift an assignment of a data transfer process of a transfer source device of the plurality of the transfer source devices from the transfer processing device to another transfer processing device; and transferring the assignment of the data transfer process from the transfer processing device to the another transfer processing device, the assignment of the data transfer process being relevant to a transfer source device having the calculated reception estimated time later than the shift completion estimated time and closer to the shift completion estimated time than any other transfer source devices.

  • Patent number: 8266298
Abstract: One system distributes a request for providing a service using a first communication protocol, from a terminal device to a server selected from among a plurality of servers by a server load balancer in response to the request. A corresponding relation between identification information for identifying a session generated in a distributed server and the server that has generated the session corresponding to the identification information is set in the server load balancer by the service of a second communication protocol as uniqueness assurance information for uniqueness assurance. Thus, when the provision of a service is requested using a second communication protocol by the terminal device, the server load balancer refers to the set uniqueness assurance information and selects the server for providing the service from among the plurality of servers.

  • Publication number: 20120151493
Abstract: A relay apparatus executes a reallocation process so as to transfer data received from an information processing apparatus allocated to the relay apparatus to a destination apparatus. The reallocation process includes the following operations. The relay apparatus determines reallocatability of the information processing apparatus on the basis of a status of receiving transfer data from the information processing apparatus. The reallocatability represents whether the information processing apparatus is reallocatable to another apparatus. The relay apparatus stores reallocatability information indicating the determined reallocatability in a storage unit. The relay apparatus determines whether to reallocate the information processing apparatus on the basis of the reallocatability information stored in the storage unit. The relay apparatus reallocates the information processing apparatus determined to be reallocated.

  • Publication number: 20110307619
Abstract: A relay apparatus is connected to a plurality of servers and a client to relay a message transmitted from the client to one of the plurality of servers. The relay apparatus receives from one of the plurality of servers a response to a first message transmitted from the client. The relay apparatus stores in a data storage a first server identifier of the server that has transmitted the response, in association with a first session identifier included in the response. The relay apparatus extracts, upon receiving a second message transmitted from the client, a second server identifier from the data storage on the basis of a second session identifier included in the second message. The relay apparatus determines a destination server of the second message on the basis of the extracted second server identifier. The relay apparatus transmits the second message destined to an address of the determined destination server.

  • Publication number: 20110202920
Abstract: A method includes: judging whether or not a destination address of a received message is a predetermined address of a first virtual switch being operating; upon judging that the destination address of the received message is the predetermined address of the first virtual switch, converting the destination address of the received message to a broadcast address to virtual machines that are under the first virtual switch and belong to the same subnet as a subnet to which the first virtual switch belongs; and outputting a message after the conversion.

  • Patent number: 7904562
Abstract: A connecting destination server switch control method for switching a server and the connecting destination of the server is provided, the method realizing a larger-scaled network system by distributing a load to each cache server, thus reducing the total load and dynamically modifying a logical network according to the load of each cache server even when there is a plurality of content servers that are content distributors. In a situation where cache servers whose management sources differ are connected in many steps, the total load caused by content acquisition can be reduced by modifying the content acquisition source server of a cache server for each piece of content.

  • Publication number: 20110040892
Abstract: A load balancing apparatus stores a transfer rule in which a path control identifier for identifying a path for a message sent from a client device is associated with relay device information for specifying a relay device that creates the path control identifier. When receiving a message from the client device, the load balancing apparatus determines whether the message contains the path control identifier. If the load balancing apparatus determines that the path control identifier is contained, the load balancing apparatus specifies, from the transfer rule, relay device information with which the path control identifier is associated and then sends the message to a relay device that is specified by the specified relay device information. In contrast, if the load balancing apparatus determines that the path control identifier is not contained, the load balancing apparatus sends the message to the relay device specified in accordance with a predetermined condition.

  • Publication number: 20110035436
Abstract: A relay apparatus for transferring message data received from a client to one of a plurality of servers includes a status management data storage, a transfer rule handling section, and an acknowledgment transmitting section. The status management data storage holds data of an acknowledgment necessity table. The acknowledgment necessity table includes first identification information of a first apparatus to which the relay apparatus acknowledges when the relay apparatus has received first transfer rule notification data from the first apparatus. The transfer rule handling section determines whether the acknowledgment necessity table includes the first identification information identical to second identification information of a second apparatus upon receiving second transfer rule notification data from the second apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7882248
Abstract: A receiver receives from a client, a participation request indicating that a delivery of a content is desired. An affiliated group-determining unit determines of which group corresponding to the attribute content the attribute of the user, included in the participation request is affiliated. When the other client corresponds to the same desired content and the same affiliated group as that of the participation request source client, and when the other client is already registered in a client database (DB), an access point-deciding unit decides the registered client as a access point of the participation request source client. When the other client is not registered in the client DB, the access point-deciding unit decides a delivering server as the access point of the participation request source client.

  • Publication number: 20100106830
Abstract: A statistical-data collecting-and-providing apparatus receives, through a statistical-data-acquisition-criterion setting interface, setting of a statistical-data acquisition criterion and setting of a notification destination, which is a destination of statistical data delivery. Subsequently, the statistical-data collecting-and-providing apparatus collects statistical data based on the thus-received statistical-data acquisition criterion. Thereafter, the statistical-data collecting-and-providing apparatus delivers the thus-collected statistical data to a service-providing application server, which is the notification destination received through the statistical-data-acquisition-criterion setting interface.

  • Publication number: 20090300182
Abstract: An event controller is caused to function as a receiving unit, a request unit, and a transfer unit. The receiving unit receives an event notification request containing designation information designating a client. The request unit requests notification of one of a plurality of servers as an assignment destination server, based on the designation information, the one providing a service to the client identified by the designation information. The transfer unit transfers the event notification request to the assignment destination server notified in response to the request by the request unit.

  • Patent number: 7577105
Abstract: In a system including a first unit retaining a first identifier and a second unit retaining a second identifier for reading out the first identifier from the first unit to transmit, as cooperation information, a combination of the first identifier and the second identifier, for managing the cooperation information, a cooperation information managing apparatus receives the cooperation information and registers the second identifier included in the cooperation information and a group of a plurality of first identifiers including the first identifier included in the cooperation information in a state associated with each other. For managing objects to be used by a user, this enables managing the objects as an aggregation without handling the objects individually, thereby realizing efficient management from a user's point of view.

  • Patent number: 7424538
Abstract: To provide a service customized for each user and for each application, when user host terminal H1 communicates with user host terminal H2 using VoIP, the terminal H1 transmits a service initiation message to service execution units SN1 and SN2. By this message, the service execution unit SN1 and SN2 require service information L-SPC (A) and service information G-SPC (A), both information regards to VoIP service of the term H1, to authentication server A1 respectively. The service execution unit SN1 and SN2 execute a service based on L-SPC (A) and G-SPC (A) respectively. Doing this, service execution unit may provide a service customized for each user and for each application.
