  • Patent number: 6078676
Abstract: A compact speaker system is capable of reproducing a heavy bass sound with a superior transition characteristic. A sound radiated from a speaker unit passes through a three-dimensional spiral sound passage formed by a coaxial dual-tube structure provided in front of the speaker unit. In the coaxial dual-tube structure, a spiral partition plate is provided to bridge a gap between an outer tube and an inner tube so as to form the spiral sound passage.

  • Patent number: 5989200
Abstract: Total consumed calories are indicated in an upper portion of a display. A life activity intensity of each of the past seven days and an average life activity intensity over the same period are indicated by a bar graph in a lower portion of the display. The life activity intensity is classified into rank I (light), rank II (medium), and rank III (a little heavy). A total exercise amount (i.e., total consumed calories) and a life activity intensity are calculated and automatically displayed at the end of a day.

  • Patent number: 5625858
Abstract: A contact charging member to be abutted against a charge-receiving member and supplied with a voltage for charging the charge-receiving member is provided. The charging member includes an electroconductive substrate, an elastic layer and a surface layer disposed in lamination. The surface layer comprises crosslinked polymer crosslinked by irradiation with an electron beam. The surface layer may preferably be in the form of a seamless tube formed of the crosslinked polymer. The surface layer crosslinked by electron beam irradiation is less liable to suffer from transfer of a crosslinking agent or a decomposition product thereof to the charge-receiving member. Accordingly, the charging member shows improved durability and stably uniform charging ability suitable for electrophotographic image formation under various environmental conditions.
