  • Publication number: 20050089315
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an optical writing device. The optical writing device includes an optical writing unit that emits laser light beams toward image carriers, an outer case that accommodates the optical writing unit, and air supplying devices that supply air into the outer case. The outer case includes openings through which the laser light beams pass. Another image forming apparatus includes an optical writing device that emits laser light beams toward image carriers to form latent images thereon, partition members that are interposed between the image carriers and the optical writing device and that have openings elongating along a scanning direction of the optical writing device, and shutter mechanisms including shutter members to open and close the openings. The laser light beams are emitted from the optical writing device toward the image carriers through the openings.

  • Patent number: 5123991
Abstract: The present invention provides a box sealer for attaching adhesive tape in an L-shape on corners of a box for medical drugs, cosmetics, etc. The box is first received at a rectangular corner furnished on a top surface of the box sealer, and adhesive tape of a predetermined dimensions is sent out from below and is cut. By sliding attachment plates at the corner of one side and at the bottom of the box, the adhesive tape is attached in the L-shaped form. Knurled rollers for sending out the adhesive tape are furnished in tandem, and one of the rollers is rotated by twice as many revolutions as the other roller. Further, a microswitch for detecting the box and rotating a motor is mounted near the rectangular window of the housing, and a pair of operating pins of the microswitch are provided in parallel.

  • Patent number: 5118160
Abstract: A member for a car body in which concave and convex beads can be positioned appropriately regardless of a complexity of a shape of the member, and the efficiency of energy absorption can be improved. The member includes side faces having concave beads provided on the side faces at positions corresponding to dip portions of a buckling waveform produced by an initial buckling load applied to the member in a state of having no bead; convex beads provided on the side faces at positions corresponding to peak portions of the buckling waveform; and flat portions without any bead, formed between each adjacent concave bead and convex bead. The side faces may also have edge beads provided on edges of the side faces at positions corresponding to a dip portion of the buckling waveform which is closest to a front end to be subjected to a crushing load.

  • Patent number: 4964942
Abstract: An adhesive tape applicator for applying a fraudulent-opening preventive adhesive tape in an "L" form on the corners of a package of medical articles or the like. For easy peeling of the adhesive tape, the apparatus according to the present invention is so arranged that the adhesive tape has superposed on the adhesive side thereof a separate paint foil tape, the adhesive tape and paint foil tape are supplied from their respective sources, the paint foil tape thus superposed on the adhesive tape is stuck by a hammer to transfer a portion thus stuck of the paint foil to the adhesive side of the adhesive tape, thereby forming a non-adhesive lug piece, the adhesive tape having the non-adhesive lug pieces thus formed thereon is fed toward the package carrying path from under the path, the adhesive tape is cut along the boundary between the transferred paint foil and the adhesive area and attached by being pressed by an application roller against the corner of the package.

  • Patent number: 4589947
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for adhering straws, each being packed in a plastic film, to external surfaces of beverage vessels for milk, juice, etc. which are sold by vendor machines. Specifically, a straw adhering apparatus for beverage vessels wherein a continuous laminated plastic film strip which incorporates straws separately and individually and is provided with an array of punched feed holes at upper and lower end parts of the strip is cut into individual straw packs by a cutter on the way of the strip feed passage. Upper and lower edges of each straw pack are delivered respectively by a pair of seizing feed belts to the main carrying conveyor path for a beverage vessel to which the straw pack is adhered to an external surface of the beverage vessel onto which an adhesive agent is applied in advance. An adhesion retaining belt which maintains a state of adhesion of the straw pack to the beverage vessel is provided at a side of the main carrying conveyor.
