    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus to condense and rectify alcohol, and more particularly to a method and an apparatus suitable for the energy-saving condensation and rectification of high-purity alcohol from the synthesized alcohol, the used alcohol aqueous solution in food industry and the fermented alcohol.The invention provides a method, which makes it possible to extract and recover alcohol of 99 wt % or higher with small quantity of propane solvent, using the propane in supercritical or pseudocritical conditions in the process of condensation and recovery of alcohol from aqueous solution of alcohol. Further, the method makes it possible to condense alcohol to the concentration of 95 wt % or higher by increasing the selectivity of alcohol through the cooling of the propane to liquid state.

    Abstract: An image recording apparatus includes a lamp, a CCD array, an image density adjustor, first and second shutter drivers, first and second shutters, an image area discriminating circuit, and a microcomputer. The lamp illuminates an image and retrieval information of a microfilm having the image and the retrieval information at the side of the image. The CCD array receives light from the image and the retrieval information on the microfilm illuminated by the lamp. The image density adjustor, first and second shutter drivers, and first and second shutters cooperate with each other to record the image of the microfilm on a recording medium. The image area discriminating circuit discriminates the image from the retrieval information according to an output from the CCD array. The microcomputer controls the image density adjustor and the first and second shutter drivers so as not to record the retrieval information on the recording medium according to an output from the image area discriminating circuit.

    Abstract: This invention provides an apparatus for reproducing image from a microfilm, in which a microfilm having a negative or positive image is illuminated by illuminating image and projecting thus illuminated microfilm image onto a photosensitive member. The reproducing apparatus is provided with a charger for positively or negatively charging the surface of the photosensitive member, measuring device for measuring the light intensity from thus illuminated microfilm, and charge controller for selecting the polarity of charge to be given to the photosensitive member in response to the result of measurement by the measuring device thereby providing a positive reproduced image regardless whether the image on the microfilm is negative or positive. In another embodiment the apparatus is provided with development controller for selecting toner for image development on the photosensitive member in response to the result of measurement by the measuring device.
