  • Patent number: 6266711
Abstract: In a communication apparatus equipped with a control apparatus, an apparatus main body of this communication apparatus is connectable with an external unit. When this external unit is connected to the apparatus main body, an additional function may be realized in this communication apparatus. The external unit is comprised of a program storage means for previously storing thereinto a program used to control operation of a circuit built in the external unit. The apparatus main body does not store the program, but is comprised of a control means for controlling the operation of the circuit provided in the external unit in accordance with the program previously stored in the program storage means within the external unit.

  • Patent number: 5805947
Abstract: A camera comprises a camera main body, a taking lens provided at the camera main body and a sliding cover which is capable of sliding between a closed position at which the sliding cover covers the front surface of the taking lens and an open position at which the sliding cover withdraws from the front surface of the taking lens, along the front surface of the camera main body. The camera main body is provided with an outer cover and a groove forming member which is positioned on the inside of the outer cover, where a guide groove extending in the sliding direction of the sliding cover is formed. The sliding cover is provided with a through portion which passes through the outer cover. And a guide projection formed at the through portion is connected with the guide groove in such a manner that they can slide to guide the sliding movement of the sliding cover.

  • Patent number: 5615049
Abstract: A compact internal focus objective lens system utilized in an astronomical telescope, tenestrical telescope, photo lens or the like has a superior ability to compose images when focusing on close or near objects. The lens system includes, in order from the object side, a first lens group G1 with a positive refractory power and a second lens group G2 with a negative refractory power. The first lens group G1 includes a composite lens L1 with a negative lens L11 and a positive lens L12 and a single lens L2 with a positive refractory power. The second lens group G2 has a composite lens L3 that has an overall negative refractory power. The second lens group G2 is moved along the optical axis for focusing. The objective lens satisfies the following conditions, thus permitting the compact internal focus objective lens system to clearly compose images, when focusing on close or near objects:0.3<f1/F<0.6-0.5<f2/F<-0.20.15<r4/F<0.35-1.5<(r6+r8)/(r6-r8)<1.50.15<r2/F<0.440<.nu.

  • Patent number: 5268201
Abstract: A composite diamond grain which comprises a heat-resistant grain as a nucleus and discrete diamond crystal particles distributed on the surface of the grain or diamond crystal films formed to cover the entire surface of the grain and a method for producing the composite diamond grain by the vapor-phase process are disclosed. For the filament method which is one form of the vapor-phase method, tantalum is useful as the material for the filament. Since tantalum is susceptible of embrittlement by hydrogen, a treatment to be performed on tantalum for the elimination of this drawback is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5164051
Abstract: A diamond film of the vapor phase process is produced by a method which comprises a step of (1) electrolytically polishing the surface of a hard metal substrate with a pulse voltage or, after electrolytic polishing, further subjecting it to a scratching treatment with an abrasive powder or (2) electrolytically polishing the surface of a hard metal substrate with a constant voltage and thereafter subjecting it to a scratching treatment with an abrasive powder, thereby heightening the adhesive force of the surface of the substrate, and then effecting deposition of dense diamond of high adhesive strength by the vapor phase process on the substrate.
