Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods, compositions, and kits for concentrating and purifying at least one target analyte from a clinical biological sample. In some embodiments, the methods involve one or more aqueous two-phase system (ATPS) compositions and at least one solid phase medium. Some embodiments provide a kit comprising one or more ATPS compositions, a binding buffer; and a solid phase medium. Other embodiments provide methods of treating cancers or infectious diseases in a patient in need thereof.

Abstract: Provided is a method for isolating and concentrating nucleic acids of selected target sizes (e.g., in increments less than 1000 base pairs) from a biological fluid mixture comprising combining the biological fluid mixture and a first aqueous two-phase system (ATPS) formed from a first phase forming polymer or surfactant component dissolved in a first phase solution, and a second phase solution, such that target nucleic acid fragments below a desired target size partition to said second phase solution and contaminants partition to the first phase solution, extracting and mixing the second phase solution with a second ATPS formed from a second phase forming polymer or surfactant component dissolved in a third phase solution and a fourth phase solution, such that the target nucleic acid fragments partition to and concentrate in the third phase solution, and recovering the concentrated target nucleic acid fragments from the third phase solution.

Abstract: The present invention concerns an improved cooking utensil for keeping warm and cooking which comprises an inner vessel portion, an outer shell portion having an inside diameter larger than that of the inner vessel portion and a height as same as or longer than that of the inner vessel portion, said outer shell portion having a cylindrical shape, and a lid which closes an opening of the inner vessel portion, and a space portion being defined by said inner vessel portion and said outer shell portion, said inner vessel portion and said outer shell portion being combined or connected by a pair of hand grips.
