  • Patent number: 7039413
Abstract: While a plurality of cellular mobile communication systems have their respective service areas regionally overlapping each other in part, a mobile station is configured to perform a standby for calling or communication while selecting one of the plural systems in the overlapping areas, and is arranged as follows: the mobile station preliminarily stores cell information notified of by a base station and indicating whether the mobile station is transferable to each surrounding cell while maintaining the current system; when the arrival of transfer timing to a surrounding cell is detected, the mobile station extracts the information about the pertinent cell and judges whether the surrounding cell is a transferable cell, based on the cell information; when the surrounding cell is a transferable cell, the mobile station transfers to the surrounding cell; when the surrounding cell is not a transferable cell, the mobile station directly transfers to a cell of a different system.

  • Publication number: 20050136950
Abstract: A mobile communication system includes a first base station configured to be controlled by a first radio network controller, and provide an address of an extension transmission/reception device to user data received from a first mobile station, and the extension transmission/reception device configured to be controlled by the first radio network controller or a different second radio network controller, and provide an address of a second base station, which is controlled by the second radio network controller, to user data received from the first base station.

  • Publication number: 20050014498
Abstract: A mobile communication system includes an extension transmission/reception server configured to transmit/receive user data transmitted/received between mobile stations to/from a base station by using an extension transmission/reception transmitting/receiving the data within a radio access network, and the base station configured to transmit/receive the user data to/from the extension transmission/reception server.

  • Publication number: 20040213186
Abstract: The object of the invention is to prevent reduction of the system capacity caused by the use of a channelization code belonging to the secondary scrambling code. Instead of trying to select a channelization code belonging to each of the primary and secondary scrambling codes for one cell in a conventional manner, selection of a channelization code belonging to the primary scrambling code is tried sequentially for a plurality of cells (S02, S04). If the selection of the code has been failed, it is determined whether selection is tried again under a different condition (S06). Then, when trying again, selection of a channelization code belonging to the secondary scrambling code is tried sequentially for the plurality of cells (S07, S09).

  • Publication number: 20040166858
Abstract: There is provided a neighbor cell notifying apparatus capable of implementing more efficient notification to a mobile station within a range that can be notified of and monitored, when the mobile station in communication using a plurality of cells is notified of neighbor cell information. This neighbor cell notifying apparatus includes a cell information extracting part for extracting neighbor cell information items for specifying respective neighbor cells corresponding to each of the cells; a cell rank determining part for, based on the neighbor cell information items extracted, determining ranks of neighbor cell information items that the mobile station is to be notified of, in favor of neighbor cell information items about neighbor cells common to the cells; and a cell information notifying part for notifying the mobile station of a predetermined number of neighbor cell information items among the neighbor cell information items on the basis of the ranks determined.

  • Patent number: 4317849
Abstract: A high-gloss coated paper can be produced by coating a paper or a prime-coated paper with an aqueous coating solution comprising a synthetic polymer latex (A) having a glass transition temperature of at least 38.degree. C. and a synthetic polymer latex (B) having a glass transition temperature of 5.degree. to 25.degree. C. in a weight ratio of 1:0.1 to 1:1 in terms of solid content, drying the coated paper, and then bringing the coated surface into contact with a hot calender under pressure at a temperature not lower than the glass transition temperature of the synthetic polymer latex (A), thereby forming a mirror-finishing on the surface of the coated paper.

  • Patent number: 4301210
Abstract: High quality cast-coated paper is obtained with high productivity by applying an aqueous coating composition containing a coating pigment and a binder to the surface of base paper by means of a blade coater to form an undercoating layer, the application rate being from 5 to 25 g/m.sup.2 on dry basis per side; then applying to said undercoating layer an aqueous coating composition containing a coating pigment and a polymer latex having a glass transition point of 38.degree. C. or higher to form an overcoating layer, drying said overcoating layer at a temperature below the glass transition point of the latex in said overcoating layer; and subjecting it to mirror finish treatment at a temperature higher than said glass transition point.
