  • Patent number: 6033616
Abstract: A process of producing a molded synthetic resin article with a powder embedded in a surface thereof to form a finished surface. The process includes brushing an inner wall of a mold at a desired area thereof with a brush carrying a powder to be embedded in the surface of the article. The brushing action simultaneously provides an electrostatic charge on the inner wall of the mold for attracting and holding the powder thereon, and deposits the powder in an evenly distributed manner onto the desired area. A synthetic resin is fed into the mold. The synthetic resin is molded such that the synthetic resin is pressed against the desired area of the inner wall of the mold, flowing around the powder held thereon such that the powder is at least partially embedded in the synthetic resin. The process provides a uniform non-strippable firm surface of the powder on a surface of the resulting article.

  • Patent number: 5331932
Abstract: A piston skirt has narrowed relief sections adjacent piston bosses and between first and second relief sections. The first relief sections extend between a piston head and respective piston bosses whist the second relief sections extend downward from the respective piston bosses. The narrowed relief sections are spaced from each other in parallel to piston pin holes at a distance which is smaller than that at which the first and second relief sections are space from each other, respectively. The narrowed relief sections are formed thicker and therefore more rigid than the first and second relief sections so that the piston skirt is more rigid adjacent the piston bosses and less rigid above and below the piston bosses, whereby to effectively lessen side thrust of the piston to the cylinder wall without deteriorating the durability.

  • Patent number: 4661891
Abstract: This invention relates to decorative hanging lighting apparatuses adapted to be hung from the ceiling, etc., and comprised of a plurality of lighting units coupled in the vertical direction. In the aforementioned lighting unit, for facility in coupling lighting units and for obviating the wiring work, there are provided two hooking members each having hooking means at both ends thereof and formed of an electric conductor, with electrode wires of an electric bulb or electric bulbs connected respectively to the aforementioned two hooking members. The top hooking means of one of the aforementioned lighting units are hooked on the bottom hooking means of the aforementioned other lighting unit which is placed above the former lighting unit, to couple these lighting units, thereby comprising the aforementioned decorative hanging lighting apparatus.
