    Abstract: An image processing system of the invention has a reader which reads out an image of an original, a page memory which stores image information of the original in the form of electric signals, a disk memory which stores part or all of the image information in the disk memory and also stores image processing information, an image processing section, a digitizer for the operator to input the image processing information, a CRT which displays input information or corrections in convesation language, a DMA controller, and a printer. The image processing system of the invention is capable of DMA transfer without the intermediacy of a CPU. Fewer addresses are required for readout of the image information from the memory, and high speed image processing is achieved.

    Abstract: An optical information recording/reproducing apparatus for stably recording, reproducing, or erasing the information by a laser beam with respect to different kinds of optical disks is represented. This apparatus includes a processor to record, reproduce, or erase the information for an optical disk, a disk sort detector to detect the sort of optical disk, and a controller to control the processing parameters of the processor in response to an output signal from the disk sort detector. The disk sort detector reads the disk sort identifying information preliminarily recorded on the optical disk by the processor to detect the sort of disk. Or, this detector irradiates light onto labels having different reflection factors or transmission factors preliminarily provided on the optical disks by the processor and detects the reflected light amounts or transmitted light amounts from the labels, thereby detecting the sort of disk.

    Abstract: There is provided an image display apparatus which imputs image information and displays it on a large display surface. This apparatus comprises: a photo sensitive material belt; rollers to support and drive the belt and a motor to rotate the drive roller; an image exposing apparatus of the laser beam scanning method; a toner developer; a pulse generator for continuously generating pulses in association with the rotation of the drive roller; a counter to count the pulses; and a controller to control the stop timing of the drive roller in order to stop the movement of the belt in accordance with the count value of the counter. The movement of the belt is controlled at the accurate timing synchronized with the pulses from the pulse generator. Thus, it is prevented that a joint of the belt appears in the display section, and the image information is displayed at the proper location in the display surface.
