Patent number: 11835131Abstract: A control apparatus for a vehicle provided with (i) a power source, (ii) drive wheels and (iii) a fluid transmission device disposed between the power source and the drive wheels and including a lockup clutch to which a fluid pressure is supplied. A feedback control is executed for correcting a command value of the fluid pressure by a correction amount such that an actual value of a slip amount of the lockup clutch becomes substantially equal to the target value of the slip amount in a slip control. When the actual value has been converged into a given range with respect to the target value, the correction amount is obtained, and the command value for a next execution of the slip control is corrected by learning with use of the obtained correction amount. The given range is set depending on the target value of the slip amount.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 2023Date of Patent: December 5, 2023Assignees: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHA, Aisin CorporationInventors: Masahide Ichikawa, Kazumitsu Sugano, Shunsuke Yanagi, Yuji Imanaga, Yui Goto, Masatsugu Yoshimoto

Patent number: 11473460Abstract: A controller controls a motor-driven oil pump of a vehicle. The vehicle includes an engine, a mechanical oil pump, a battery, a motor-driven oil pump driven by a driving voltage applied by the battery, and a hydraulic device. The controller includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry controls the driving voltage in a stop period during which the engine automatically stops and automatically restarts. The stop period includes a first period starting when the engine automatically stops and continuing until cranking starts and a second period starting when the cranking starts and continuing until the engine automatically restarts. The driving voltage in the first period is less than the driving voltage in the second period.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 2021Date of Patent: October 18, 2022Assignee: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Guodong Tan, Masahide Ichikawa, Tetsuya Yamaguchi

Patent number: 9540010Abstract: A control system is for a vehicle. The control system includes an electronic control unit configured to perform a coast downshift, and execute blipping control during performance of the coast downshift. The electronic control unit is configured to determine whether blipping abnormality occurs. The electronic control unit is configured to disengage an engagement element on an engagement side when the blipping abnormality occurs during the performance of the coast downshift. The electronic control unit is configured to increase a speed of the engine in the blipping control. The blipping abnormality is a state that the blipping control is not executed normally during the performance of the coast downshift. The engagement element on the engagement side is an engagement element that is changed from a disengaged state to an engaged state in the coast downshift.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 2015Date of Patent: January 10, 2017Assignee: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Masahide Ichikawa, Tomohiro Asami

Publication number: 20120009096Abstract: This is an apparatus invented to generate hydrogen gas safely using the reaction of metallic sodium and water. Metallic sodium is cut into thin slices using a guillotine-type cutter and fed into the feed opening in the upper part of a pipe inserted in the water layer in a sealed water tank. Dropping in the metallic sodium causes the metallic sodium to settle and through contact with the water generate hydrogen gas. The lower end of the feed pipe is adjoined with adhesive to an opening in the water ejection pipe of the water jet pump in such a manner that the pipe and pump form one unit. The metallic sodium released in the tank is immediately forced from the tap water jet pump into the water layer, reacts with the water, and generates the hydrogen gas. The hydrogen gas is kept in a storage tank. The storage tank is equipped with a sensor that gauges the pressure and when the pressure reaches a certain point within the tank it stops the action of the cutter and the supply of metallic sodium is suspended.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 8, 2009Publication date: January 12, 2012Applicants: SABURO KAMATA, MASAHIDE ICHIKAWAInventor: Masahide Ichikawa

Patent number: 7160239Abstract: A means and apparatus for breaking non-cellular tissues such as cancer cells to be used in medical treatments for human or animal body wherein heat energy is generated due to electric field energy of microelectromagnetic wave radiated from a microelectromagnetic radiator (2) with the use of a magnetron (16) are provided. A cancer cell tissue is radiated with microelectromagnetic wave from the microelectromagnetic radiator (2) composed of the magnetron (16) and an electromagnetic horn (1) and thus active oxygen constituting the cancer cell tissue and electrolytes in the blood acting around the tissue are heated due to the self-vibration by the electrical field energy of the microelectromagnetic wave. Thus, cancer cells are exclusively broken.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2002Date of Patent: January 9, 2007Assignees: Yasuki Takano, Masahide Ichikawa, Karou MaedaInventors: Masahide Ichikawa, Karou Maeda
