Patent number: 7250984Abstract: The aim of the present invention is to provide a VDT stress mitigating device and method capable of mitigating VDT stress caused by a regular spatial pattern and VDT stress caused by flicker generated by an interlaced format, a VDT stress risk quantifying device and method, and a recording medium. An A/D conversion section 10 imports interlaced format video signals P1 from an external image signal output device and converts them in field units by A/D conversion into image data D1. A filter section 20, while not distinguishing between the first field and the second field, and while maintaining the temporal order of these fields, performs a temporal filtering process on the image data of each field. A D/A conversion section 30 converts the image data D2 that has undergone the temporal filtering process by the filter section 20 into image signals P2 based on an interlaced format by D/A conversion. The image signals P2 are then sequentially outputs according to the temporal order of the fields.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2004Date of Patent: July 31, 2007Assignee: NEC CorporationInventors: Naoko Nomura, legal representative, Masahide Nomura, deceased

Patent number: 4319320Abstract: A system and method for the adaptive control of a process in which a feed forward control signal corresponding to a process demand is calculated according to a predetermined algebraic function, while a feedback correction signal is calculated on the basis of an error of a process feedback signal indicative of an error of a controlled variable from a predetermined setting, and the controlled variable of the process is controlled on the basis of the sum of these two signals. The adaptive control is such that, when a set point of the function deviates from the actual process demand, a value corresponding to the error appears in the feedback correction signal, and this value is used for automatically modifying the function itself to ensure the adaptive control of the process. A determination is made whether or not the process is in the steady state and when steady state operation is determined, the function of the feed forward control signal is modified.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 1979Date of Patent: March 9, 1982Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Yoshio Sato, Nobuo Kurihara, Masahide Nomura, Shigeyoshi Kawano, Tadayoshi Saito
