  • Publication number: 20230005148
Abstract: The disclosed feature makes it possible to accurately determine a change that has occurred in a tissue. The feature includes: a binarizing section (41) that generates, from an image to be analyzed, a plurality of binarized images having respective binarization reference values different from each other; a Betti number calculating section (42) that calculates, for each of the plurality of binarized images, a one-dimensional Betti number indicating the number of hole-shaped regions each of which is surrounded by pixels each having a first pixel value obtained by binarization and is constituted by pixels each having a second pixel value obtained by binarization; and a determining section (44) that determines a change that has occurred in the tissue, based on a binarization reference value and a one-dimensional Betti number in a binarized image in which the one-dimensional Betti number is maximized.

  • Patent number: 7852589
Abstract: Embodiments in accordance with the present invention provide a magnetic disk drive capable of achieving error recovery stably in a simple configuration in the event of thermal asperity (TA) and minimizing the error recovery time required, and a method for controlling the disk drive. According to one embodiment, if TA occurs, a cutoff frequency of a high-pass filter to which a data read signal is input is first increased and a loop gain of a low-order finite impulse response (FIR) filter connected in series to an FIR filter is also increased as high as possible. Next, a Viterbi decoder to which a signal is input from the low-order FIR filter provides feedback to the low-order FIR filter so that an input signal error becomes a minimum. Tap coefficients of the low-order FIR filter are thus optimized.

  • Publication number: 20050167512
Abstract: The inventive IC card includes a first communications unit, a second communications unit, and a passing information management unit accessible to a card application, The passing information management unit retains the processing identifier transmitted from an external R/W via the first communications unit and the PIN transmitted from a cell phone via the second communications unit in association with each other. The card application, receiving a processing identifier and a data request from the external R/W reads the PIN whose corresponding processing identifier matches the received processing identifier from the passing information management unit and transmits the PIN to the external R/W. Thus, even in case a cell phone is in the hands of another malicious person with a PIN written into an IC card, the PIN cannot be read from the IC card unless the processing identifier transmitted from the external R/W matches the processing identifier corresponding to the PIN.

  • Patent number: 6425431
Abstract: An apparatus of welding a plurality of parts comprises a plural pairs of jigs, a plurality of heating plates, a working region, a heating-plate stocker, a heating-plate standby region, and a heating-plate slider. The pairs of jigs supports a plurality of parts, and each pair of the jigs has a shape different from another pair of jigs. The heating plates respectively correspond to each pair of the jigs. The working region is for welding the parts with the jigs and the heating plates. The heating-plate stocker stocks and heats the heating plates. The heating-plate standby region is for standing by for moving the heating plates with heating between the working region and the heating-plate stocker. A heating-plate slider is for sliding the heating plates between the heating-plate standby region and the heating-plate stocker.

  • Patent number: 6280566
Abstract: A vibration welding apparatus for welding synthetic resin parts together by vibrating one of the resin parts while the resin parts are in contact with each other. An upper jig for supporting one of the synthetic resin parts, a lower jig for supporting the other of the snythetic resin parts and a vibrating member to which the upper jig is attached are provided in the apparatus. The jigs are held together by bolts which can withstand the vibrating motions. Head portions of the bolts are inserted into insertion holes of the upper jig, notches of spacers are engaged with the shaft portions of the bolts between an attached portion of the upper jig and the head portions of the bolts, and the bolts are fastened to the vibrating member in the state where the notches are engaged with the shaft portions, so that the attached portion is fastened through the spacers by the head portions of the bolts and the vibrating member to thereby attach the upper jig to the vibrating member.
