  • Patent number: 5361329
Abstract: There is disclosed a data processing apparatus capable of providing a desired output print regardless of the size of print data by modifying the density of the print. For this purpose there is provided a processing unit for determining the print density based on data associated with the printing medium used in a printing unit.

  • Patent number: 5355231
Abstract: An output apparatus for receiving code information, developing it into a bit map and recording it, in which the code information is developed into image information of a bit pattern form the image information is recorded on a recording medium and an image which is formed on the recording medium can be recorded while a dot density of the image is changed, and a the dot density is changed for use by the recording means in correspondence to the code system designated by the code information. The printing dot density is automatically changed to the dot density corresponding to the print control program such as an emulation program or the like, so that characters of different fonts such as English and Japanese can be automatically printed at the optimum printing dot densities.

  • Patent number: 5045869
Abstract: Printing is performed with the higher one of the two resolutions designated for text data and image data if these resolutions are different from each other. If in this case the resolution designated for the text data is changed, character patterns based the an optimum number of constituent dots are selected for printing of characters of the designated size in accordance with the text data. If the resolution of the image data is changed, the image data is interpolated.

  • Patent number: 5016680
Abstract: A weft processing apparatus includes a weft releasing device for releasing or detaching a leading end of a weft from the peripheral surface of a weft cheese, a fluid jetting device for moving the released weft leading end to a weft introducing port of a weft length-measuring and reserving apparatus, and a guide device for guiding the weft leading end and the jetted fluid stream. The weft releasing device is in the form of a blow nozzle device or a suction pipe. In the former case, the blow nozzle device serves also as the fluid jetting device. The suction pipe has an intake port provided with a holding member such as a net or brush for temporarily holding the weft in a congregated state.

  • Patent number: 4851052
Abstract: A method of producing steel plate with good low-temperature toughness comprises the steps of casting a steel melt consisting of 0.001-0.300 wt % C, not more than 0.8 wt % Si, 0.4-2.0 wt % Mn, not more than 0.007 wt % Al, 0.0010-0.0100 wt % O and the remainder of iron and unavoidable, impurities, and subjecting the cast steel either as it is or after rolling at a small reduction ration to accelerated cooling. In the cooling step, a fine-grained acicular ferrite texture having oxide-system inclusions as the nuclei develops radially and provides the resulting steel plate with excellent low-temperature toughness.
