  • Patent number: 5825531
Abstract: An electrically-driven moving apparatus for a microscope includes a control device for rotating and stopping an electric motor on the basis of outputs of a detector for detecting a rotational quantity of an operation handle and of a detector for detecting a position changing quantity of a stage. There may be provided a speed control device for changing over the stage to extremely slow fixed speed control when using an objective lens having a high magnification. The stage may be moved at a relatively high speed in response to an operation of a rotary handle for a rough movement and moved at a relatively slow speed in response to an operation of a rotary handle for a micro movement. A braking device is provided on the rotary handle, and reaching of the stage to a movement limit position can be also sensed by the operator.

  • Patent number: 5719699
Abstract: An electric revolver apparatus of a microscope comprises a revolver holding a plurality of objective lenses, a drive device for driving and braking the revolver based on a command signal from the outside of the electric revolver apparatus, a detection device for detecting a predetermined amount of rotation of the revolver and outputting a detection signal to brake the drive device, and a delay circuit for delaying the detection signal for a predetermined period of time and outputting it to the outside to delay the brake starting time of the drive device based on the command signal from the outside.

  • Patent number: 5714749
Abstract: A focus detecting apparatus of the present invention comprises (a) an image projection unit which projects a first checking light through a first region out of two regions formed by splitting a space into two along a border plane including the optical axis of the objective optical system, onto the measured object to form an image of the light source thereon, and (b) an image detection unit which condenses a second checking light emerging from the image of the light source through the second region opposed to the first region with the border plane inbetween, on a light-receiving surface of a photodetector to form image of the measured object thereon. The image projection unit comprises a first converging optical system, which has a first refractive power in a first plane parallel to the border plane, which has a second refractive power substantially different from the first refractive power in a second plane parallel to the optical axis of the objective optical system and perpendicular to the border plane.

  • Patent number: 5668716
Abstract: A controller performs two-way serial communications between a plurality of devices at one time through a reduced number of data communication lines by use of a serial communication line and a serial port adapter connected to a CPU and an external device. The controller includes the CPU, a serial communication device constituting the adapter, and a discriminator. The serial communication device includes an interface having output and input ports, an output buffer circuit, an input buffer circuit and a data I/O terminal for transferring data. The output port is connected via the output buffer circuit to the data I/O terminal. The data I/O terminal is connected also to the input port via the input buffer circuit. A single two-way serial data communication line is thus formed. The discriminator is provided in the CPU when a specified identification code is inputted to the input port of the serial communication device, data can be received.
