  • Publication number: 20240103956
Abstract: A control apparatus includes multiple processor cores connected to: a monitor that monitors whether a first processor core, the first processor core being any processor core among the multiple processor cores, is operating normally; and a memory having multiple storage areas pre-associated with each of the multiple processor cores. Each of the multiple processor cores periodically writes and updates information to the corresponding storage area in the memory, the information indicating that each of the processor cores is operating normally, and the first processor core determines whether the information in each of the storage areas in the memory has been updated by each of the multiple processor cores, and controls the monitor on the basis of a result of the determination.

  • Patent number: 7840063
Abstract: An image processing apparatus has an image input section, a color image processor, a monochrome image processor and an image synthesizer. The image input section inputs image data of an original image. The color image processor generates color image data by performing color image processing on the image data. The monochrome image processor generates monochrome image data by performing monochrome image processing on the image data. The image synthesizer generates synthesized image data by synthesizing the monochrome image data with the color image data. The apparatus also has a buffer that temporarily stores image data, a determination section that determines on the basis of the image data of the original image whether the original image is color or monochrome, and an output controller that controls an image output process. The output controller outputs output color or monochrome image data fetched from the buffer as determined to be appropriate.

  • Patent number: 7394582
Abstract: The inventive device reduces noises and stabilizes the image quality of an image forming apparatus by reducing vibration thereof by reducing vibration of a driving source itself within a preset frequency range without changing the resonating condition of a housing. A mass member is added to a stationary shaft of a driving motor for rotating a polygon mirror. It then becomes possible to reduce the vibration and noise of an image forming apparatus by avoiding resonation by moving a resonance point by adding the mass member to the stationary shaft. Thus, a high image quality image forming apparatus can be realized.

The image input section inputs image data of an original image. The color image processor generates color image data by performing color image processing on the image data. The monochrome image processor generates monochrome image data by performing monochrome image processing on the image data. The monochrome image data has a bit size per pixel smaller than the color image data. The image synthesizer generates synthesized image data by synthesizing the monochrome image data with the color image data. The synthesized image data has a bit size per pixel equivalent to the color image data. The apparatus also has a buffer that temporarily stores image data, a determination section that determines on the basis of the image data of the original image whether the original image is color or monochrome, and an output controller that controls an image output process.
